Fun week with Katy

Went home with Katy and we had a blast! Drove up to Flushing Michigan on Monday and met her parents. Nicest people in the world! Monday night was a relaxed day, but the dinner was the best. We made girl-scout dinners which I’ve never had before. Basically take meat, potatoes, peppers, onions, and any seasonings and wrap them in foil. Stick in the oven and enjoy! Quite tasty!

Tuesday was a lot of running around. We went to Farmer’s Market in the morning to get some delicious croissants and fruit squares. Yummy yummy tasty! Then we went up to see her dad at his work and off to Birch Run for some shopping! We only went to Aeropostale but it was better because we would have spent too much if we went anywhere else. I got some new shirts and hoodies and socks! Ever since I felt Kurtis’s socks, I have been in love with them, so I bought me some of those. My little toes feel so good right now! I would have been done shopping that day except the cashier forgot to take off my magnetic tag, so we had to go back and that lead to more shopping! Aargh, but I’m still happy!

Then we discovered the glory of satellite TV and relived the good ole days. Yes, we spent about 80% of our TV time watching the best shows from Nickelodeon.

Double Dare 2000

Looking back at them now, they are really cheesy, but the best part was the prizes they won were ridiculous.  You didn't win the grand prize, but we are going to give you a piece of the Double Dare 2000 set.  WTF.  Give me the damn camera you gave the kid in the audience!  Haha, it was good times and sorry to those that got the random text messages from us.  It was just so fun!

Wednesday morning was the late day.  Didn't really do a whole lot, but we did get to partake in Katy's mom's flag-raising ceremony for her new school.  It was nice.  Katy's mom is really proud of her school and she should have good reason to - it's nice!  Yeah, drumsticks!  Watched the Project Runway finale which was cool.  Even though we had already seen the dresses the models were wearing, it was a different experience seeing them walk the runway.  Congratulations to Jeffrey.  He deserved to win and it will be interesting to see how far he goes.  Then we watched the premiere of Top Chef Season 2 and it's hot.

Great vacation from Sandusky, and it makes me excited to get done with these 2 weeks.
