Life’s been a roller coaster lately, big drops and then it goes way up again and back. Hopefully things can at least even out sometime soon. Been awhile let’s see…. Christmas was awesome. I got a new camera because mine is a piece, as well as a great new trench coat. New Year’s Eve and the night before couldn’t have been worse. I’m not going into details, but after what happened I really look at everything completely differently. It’s one of those things that just puts it all in perspective, and makes you think about life.
This last week was a very long one. Sunday after Tony got off work we got a van-full and headed up to Mishawaka to Brian’s. Two and a half hours later we arrive and chill out for the night. The next morning we get up early and head to the guys’ new arena in Elkhart to practice some stuff in their ring, which is much nicer now. We work out all day and then head home.
Work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and until noon on Thursday. Wednesday morning I notice one of my tires is flat, so I get a ride to work and decide to worry about it afterwards. Pump it up, all seems fine. After work on Thursday I head to Tony’s and we start our voyage to Ohio for Shark Tank III! Roughly three hours later we arrive at Ed’s. Hang for a while and decide to start the trip to Cincy, go outside where my tire is flat once again. So, looking like a complete idiot, I bicycle-pump it up to get there. We enjoy our first day of Tank, well first for me and Tony, not Ed and Jerrod. After practice we notice the tire is flat once again. Luckily Jerrod had a can of fix-a-flat, and we pump it up a little to get it to the gas station a block or two away, and then get it back to Springboro. We hang out Friday and we decide to leave extra early so we aren’t the last ones to practice. So we head outside to see the tire half-flat, so I pump it up a hair and we get it a few blocks to the gas station to air it up. After I pull out of the gas station I see a cop who just pulled in go right through without stopping and pull out behind me. About a block or two later as I pull on to the Interstate he flip on his lights and pulls me over. Officer douchebag proceeds to take all of our ID’s, our Social Security Numbers, Registration, etc. He asks us if we have drugs, weapons, hand grenades, napalm. After a while he lets us go since he only pulled us over to be a dick, and I drive a green and purple van. Day two of Tank ends up quite great as well. Luckily the tire isn’t down too much afterwards. I drop off Ed and Jerrod back at their place and then start the journey back home, of course I must air up the tire again at a gas station on the way back, and we arrive home around 1:00 AM.
Saturday I get up to take the van to get the tire fixed, I pump it up enough to get it to Noblesville to Firestone. All the dicks that work there finally gets it “fixed” and then I pick up Zakk and Aaron and head to the show in what I commonly refer to as the asshole of Indiana, Marion. I normally wouldn’t go there, however I was promised that I would get to work Spike Dudley, so of course I’m going to go, even with a partially pulled groin, which by the way is more painful than you’d think. So of course I get screwed over, because that’s just that way it works. I felt like leaving but I didn’t want to waste the drive and because they actually made a buddy of mine pay to get it in. I ended up working this 6-way scramble. It went alright, I worked in my lucha shoulderpads for the first time. After the match I get ultra pissed and decide it’s a good time to leave. Of course the tire goes flat while I was at the show, luckily my grandpa has a small compressor and I fill it up enough to get home. After the show I go to a party full of nothing but high and drunk people, which was somewhat funny, but you can only take so much so I head out.
Sunday I pump the tire up for what seems like the millionth time and take the mighty Astro-Van back to Firestone where they jerk me around for even longer than the day before. If it goes flat again I’m going to flip, again. I accomplish nothing pretty much all the rest of the day. I go chill with Adam since he has to leave to go back to college, then I get this kick-ass phone call to end the day.
This week: Drive to Dayton and Cincinnati Thursday and Friday, home Friday night at around 1AM, up early Saturday for the OWA show in Elkhart 3 hours away where I’m working 2 or 3 matches in a tournament to crown a champion, after that show head an hour to Warsaw for MPW, and then 3 hours home again. So all in all, a very eventful several days.
