I hate to say that I'm having trouble at work cause in a way I'm really not. Here's the deal:
Case 1 - Lori
Lori had worked for the company for 5 years longer than me and was placed in my department
I was asked to train Lori
Lori was unhappy and felt she had no support from her old department, current department and me
Lori received no help for her voiced concerns
Lori quit
-Lori's reason for leaving: She felt that I was supervising her while not being her designated supervisor.
Case 2 - Emily
Emily had worked for the company for 1 year longer than me and was placed in my department
I was asked to train Emily
Emily caught on quick and did her job excellently
Emily got married
Emily quit
-Emily's reason for leaving: Her husband and her moved out of state.
Case 3 - Johnny
Johnny was hired as a temp to hire
I was asked to train Johnny
After one month, Johnny could still not answer the phones correctly
After continued training Johnny was well below what the position required
Several fellow employees complained to me about specific problems with Johnny
Company owner complains to me about an item Johnny is not doing correctly
I relay messages to Johnny
Johnny quits
-Johnny's reason for leaving: He felt that I was supervising him while not being his designated supervisor.
Okay - so Lori really didn't wanna work with me and Johnny was reallllly unmotivated, but I feel like others in the company are putting me in a position that is setting me up for failure - am I incorrect? What can I do?
