Ugh, I'm Getting Old.

My back is sore. I took the day off yesterday, and spent a decent chunk of it pressure-washing the pool deck. Which involves stooping over slightly most of the time, and I am feeling it today. Hell, I was feeling it while I was doing it! I really need to work out more. I'd started running around the block a couple times a week, but I've fallen off ( Read more... )

Saw that yesterday and jumped on it pretty quickly. :) Steamworld Dig had caught my eye before, and several of the others look good too. Looking forward to seeing what else they add to it next week. Thanks for thinking of me!

Hey, no prob. I knew you'd just gotten the U and played it a lot with your girls. One of these days I'm going to get a console, but I need to get our TV repaired first, then I have my eyes on an Onkyo receiver that has 6 HDMI ports.

Maybe it's just because it wasn't relevant to my interests before, but I don't think I'd ever seen a Nintendo bundle before! That was definitely good timing.

Yeah, my receiver is more than a few years old, so it doesn't do HDMI at all. The TV has 4 ports, and with the WiiU they're now all spoken for. So if I ever want to add another console, a new receiver will be in order here as well. But I don't foresee that, certainly not anytime soon!

I came across this Onkyo on Woot (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BLGUKDE). For $300, it looks pretty good and has great reviews. And those six ports is pretty awesome. The last time that I upgraded my audio equipment was over 15 years ago, long before HDMI. I'd like to use my Marantz receiver more (no HDMI), but I can't find the remote and the dog chewed up the power cord.

I'm also planning on buying a region-free DVD player.
