Davy Jones
Wow. Found out at work today and am heartbroken. :*( He was my favorite of The Monkees. I watched his show growing up, and will never forget the Brady Bunch episode that he appeared in.
About a year ago, they did a nice interview with Davey. I don't remember the show. He was living in PA at the time and tending to his horses. What I came away with is a portrait of a warm, very talented and very loving man. He seemed so genuinely grateful for his success.
Just the other day Crowne Plaze called me. Apparently, they had an opening for the Beatlefest that was never to be. :( Well..I also found out that Davey was to appear as a guest next month at the Fest. How incredibly sad he won't be there now.
All my love, thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and colleagues. He will be missed.
