"Queenie Eye" YT comments
Just saw this video on YT. While the video didn't rock my socks, I really like the song.
What always bothers me, though, is that some can't watch any video with Paul or John without doing the "John vs. Paul" thing. Some said Paul "made" The Beatles, and, particularly, after Brian died when he "took over". I give Paul A LOT of credit for trying to keep the band together during tumultuous times and for his creative influence on albums like "Pepper"...but The Beatles were four unique, creative individuals, and thinking that any one of their absences wouldn't have made a difference is WRONG. It may have been easier for Paul (vs. John) to convey his musical ideas, but I believe he needed John just as much as John needed him. They inspired each other and played off of each other. I'm surprised, to this day, how some STILL don't see that!
Also, even when Paul temporarily took the "helm", it was with John's consent. He was always aware of what was going on with his band.
People need to just enjoy the gift of music that they gave us, instead of continuing to pit them against each other. They each are great and unique on their own..but TOGETHER, they were nothing less than MAGIC.
