First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR! (I may do quizzes later)
Yeah I have a fair bit to update. I may just do it in note form but we shall see.
Graham and I have been going out for 3 years and one month. I finally got my Pink Floyd tattoo, it's fabby, if not a bit itchy at the moment. Graham got his first ink on his back, it's Scar from The Lion King, his little obsession. He found it painful getting it done, whereas I just found it painful afterwards.
Myself, Emma, Graham and Jon all went out to celebrate both Graham and Jon's birthdays, we went to Khublai Khan's in Edinburgh. The meal was excellent, basically you get to choose a starter and a dessert then your main course involves you choosing all sorts of wild and interesting meats, such as ostrich or shark or zebra etc, choosing the dressing(s) and what kind of spices you want to put into it. You take your bowl up to the chef dude who then cooks it in front of you and you can go up as many times as you like. Good meal and reasonably priced too which is always a bonus. Then after dinner we went back to Emma's flat, got changed then headed to Opium, which was well disappointing to say the least. It seems to have lost its atmosphere. After that we headed to Misson or Retribution as it is called now. Very good night, much dancing and drinking ensued, even though I ended up stone cold sober by the end of the night. I saw Dave which was so great, cos I simply do not see him enough, so that was nice. At the end of the night we all piled back to the flat where I ate pie and hlaf of Emma's steak bake thing.
The next morning/afternoon we all headed towards Maggie Dicksons for breakfast but we got up too late to make it on time. Instead I had a huge burger and chips, it was tasty.
I am currently on weight watchers, I want to lose 2st. Over the festive period i only put on half a lb which is good, its the one time of the year you can be happy about putting weight on. I have done well over the past few weeks to be honest. I started at 12st 10lb I am now 12st 7lb. I like the fact that the weight is coming off slowly it means it is more likely to stay off.
Joined Bannatynes gym. It's pricey but it's so worth it. You get a personal trainer, use of the spa, steam room, pool, all the classes. The locker rooms are all a lovely pine colour and in the girls yuo get hair straightners etc. The centre also provide free shower gel and they have a lovely cafe. Much fun. I love the buzz I end up with after being at the gym for an hour. I am dying to get into the pool though.
December was a good month for gigs and just general nights out. Let's see what I can remember...
The first gig of December was Dragonforce on the 9th (which also happened to be mine and Graham's 3 year anniversary). All i can say is wow. They were so good, very silly and totally didn't take themselves seriously. At one point, this is soo cute, ok well i think it is, some guy gets up on stage, the band rip the piss out of him a bit then he proposes to his girlfriend there on stage. The whole crowd went mental it was nice. Jon was there with us and he ended up finding like £30 which was a bonus, needless to say the chips and cheese at the end of the night were on him :) I replaced Kurt on my ceiling with the pretty Dragonforce men which is interesting.
Next gig was Iron Maiden in the SECC on the 15th. Kinda nice that they played in December to be honest, seeing as it was at the Iron Maiden gig three years ago that me and Graham started going out. The gig was amazing, Lauren Harris one of the support bands(acts), was fantastic. The stage wasn't really ideal for her, it was set for Maiden but she still put her heart and soul into it. She is rather talented but then i should hope so she is afterall the daughter of Steve Harris. I bought myself a very tight, very cool maiden skinny t. I think i look great in it. I actually enjoyed the first Iron Maiden Gig more, but this one was still mighty fun. I ended up talking to random girls, who thought I was only 17 hehe I couldn't help but laugh. Oh that reminds me, i got id'd at the bar in Misson last week...wtf? I'm 22 for crying out loud and the wee girl serving me looked as though she was about 18/19 most. Ahh well i'll take it as a compliment.
Two days after Maiden I went with my dad to go see Status Quo, that was his Xmas present from me. And I have to say, they were stunning, I was very impressed, especially with the way they got the crowd going. I got a keyring and my dad got a scarf. Hell the band were so good they even got my dad out of his seat. He seemed to enjoy it which is good.
Went to the Torchlight Procession in Edinburgh with Emma and her Aunt. That was an samusing night, we got to carry burning torches and then watch a viking long boat getting burned, we also watched a drum group and watched a giant wicker bear being burned to the ground and to top it all off we watched a really fab fireworks display. Graham got a shiny new camera so he was bouncing about taking pictures and well basically the camera hasn't been out of his hands since he got it. It's dead cute. We had another night in Edinburgh, where we just sat in ate good food, watched rubbish tv and then played poker, that was a really nice night. It was good just chilling out and stuff :-P
Xmas was good. Got what I wanted, still need to spend my money though. Various other stuff went on ever xmas but I am not willing to go into it, cos basically it's nobody's business
On a side note I seem to have settled more into my own bisexuality and my furryness, it's comforting to know that I can be me around the people surrounding me now. I don't need to show different faces for different people anymore. That and I just seem to be less caring about it. If people don't like me for who I am then that is their problem. For a change I am happy, even though I am still not at my target weight, but this time it's not like I am going to lose site of what I want and I am happy going nice and steady. You know what they say slow and steady wins the race and all that.
Anyway that's enough babble for just now. I will try and keep this a little more updated from now on, so that you poor people don't need to read massive chunks of text all at once.
