The Atlantian e-list had this request on it today, passing it on to any who may be interested, or know someone who might be interested:
Kathy Clark, of the State Arboretum of Virginia, Boyce, Virginia,
contacted me with a request for historical reenactors. The event is
called ArborFest, their annual open house, and it's held the second
weekend of October each year. They always have a theme on which to
build they activities and demonstrations and expect to draw a crowd of
about 3000 over the weekend. This year's theme will be about celebrating the
400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement. Ms. Clark is looking for
historical reenactors who deal with that specific period of colonial
America, circa 1603, to add color to the event. I told her that that
time was a bit later than what most people in the SCA deal with, but
that I would put out a call to see what I could find.
Can anyone help with this, or does anyone know of reeenactors who deal
with that time period? If so, please contact Ms. Clark at
claratt@visuallink.com. Please forward this message, too, to any
additional people or message boards that may be able to help.
Yours in service,
