Character info
Series/Fandom: Thor
Character's Name: Loki
Character's Sex: Male
Character's Age: 30 (for sanity’s sake, given he’s thousands of years old)
Canon point: Directly after Thor's banishment.
Abilities: Later in the movie, Loki ends up using Odin's spear (Gungnir) as a weapon, but given where I'm taking him from Loki only uses his magic and throwing daggers to take others down.
Loki's magic widely ranges between things. He can 'cloak' himself so that no one may see him if they have the ability to look for others. By cloak, I mean make himself invisible, though not physically, to those with a psychic ability to find him. When doing this, Loki can make his voice silent to them and his thoughts impenetrable (Again, that's further than where I'm taking him from but, unlike Gungnir that isn't in his possession, he can use this when he pleases). The trickster also has the ability to shape shift not only himself, but other objects. For example, he can turn a glass of wine into snakes and then, when he has no use for the illusion, make them disappear with a wave of his hand.
He can also clone himself into as many copies he pleases. They’re no stronger than Loki is and can only deal out the same damage he can. While Loki himself can take a couple punches, depending on who does the hitting, his clones can only keep their presence if Loki can keep his consciousness on them and hey are otherwise transparent. The clones only disappear when Loki makes it do so, or when he loses his concentration on them after taking a heavy hit. And finally, Loki has the ability to hid things in pockets of space. Again with the slight of his hands he can send something away and bring it back into his possession the same way.
Now I understand that's quite a bit for a character to have, so this is what I would like to have him still have in the game (and I'm fine with discussing further if none of the mods are okay with this): Cloning and shapeshifting of himself and other objects. Given Loki's canon point, and how he's about to loose it, these are going to seem the least threatening as entry level powers but will still give him an edge since the man doesn't have much muscle on him.
Strengths: Being a master of magic, nearly all of Loki's strength comes from that. He's spent all his years leaning from books of old, building his power steadily so that he could match or best most physical warriors with his abilities. While he has a good hold on his powers when in a neutral mindset, the strength of his powers and motivations depend on his mood. If greatly alerted, angry or depressed, Loki's powers can be extremely dangerous if he turns them on someone.
Weaknesses: Without a doubt, Loki's greatest weakness is his temper. While amazingly tolerant on many things, if something builds up for too long with it being resolved it wouldn't take much for him to verbally lash out at another. And on the other hand, Loki is prone to a reclusive, quiet depression. If he has doubts and doesn't voice them, he hides from the world the best he can and only makes the matters worse in his mind. He also has the uncanny ability to tell subtle, terrible jokes. The kind that make you awkwardly laugh or don't even recognize because it simply didn't sound like a joke.
Background:
Movie!Loki WikiaAppearance:
Mulling about Asgard wearPersonality: Brilliant, decisive and tactical Loki is the complete opposite of his brother, but not only for those reasons. The God of Mischief is also weak. He is hardly built like most other Asgardian men which is why he’s become the clever and cunning man he is, giving way to a subtly sarcastic and a backhanding holier-than-thou way of speaking when trying to prove his points. He is very much an introvert in the way he acts around others, keeping to himself and studying them no matter if he needs to use the information against them later or not. But, as stated before, that’s just how Loki acts around others; those he isn’t used to being comfortable and relaxed around. He knows it’s only a mask and yet still uses it, whether or not it chases others off. After standing in his brother’s shadow all his years, Loki still finds it incredibly hard to open up to others.
He is the youngest of the princes heir to the throne of Asgard, and has suffered greatly because of it, though not all faults are his own. At first glance, Loki appears to be the loner, a pushover and entirely too submissive to Thor. It’s too true, since all Thor has to do is give Loki a look and a harsh tone to silence him despite the advice that the trickster is attempting to give. Which is something he does quite a lot of with his dear brother, though he hardly minds it. Talking and advising gives Loki a sense of belonging, a feeling that he is always needed when others are lost even if they don’t come to him and go head-strong into certain peril. It’s because of his speeches and rather diplomatic talks with others that proves he is wise and mature enough to be king. Living in the shadow of the Mighty Thor, however, made Loki’s chances much more difficult to do that. Still, there isn’t much that Loki wouldn’t do for his bother because they are so closely bonded, despite being so very different. That isn’t to say, of course, that Loki was never envious of the elder. After a lifetime of competition, who wouldn’t be?
And it was because of his envy, his growing jealousy, that Loki played the tricks that he did. When it was time for the coronation, Loki let a few Jotuns into Odin’s weaponry and relic room just to stir up some excitement to an otherwise numbing painful and dull ceremony. He hadn’t expected his brother to become so up in arms over something that was so easily taken care of. And in an attempt to sooth his brother’s pain over the delay of his kingship, Loki ends up talking himself into a hole. Much with his other tricks and pranks, he had never meant for things to get out of hand. While noble and straight-laced, he had always enjoyed making things a bit more fun with what seemed to be silly and light-hearted pranks, though most others came to see them as cruel, unnecessary and troublesome. Loki had always pushed the envelope when it came to his tricks just to see how far he could get things to go but it had only been, unknowingly to himself, a way to relieve his pain.
What Loki never did realize was how manipulative his pranks could become. Or rather, he very well did know the lengths he went to pull these things off, but hardly saw it as manipulative. They were elaborate, clever and cunning. That was something he had always been denied, growing up on a place that favored brawn or brain. It was fun, plain exciting to him, seeing other Asgardians scramble about in an attempt to figure out just what happened. He doesn’t always get caught or blamed for the things that happen nor does he always apologize for them. And perhaps that’s why he continues. Not only to forget certain pains but for the intellectual thrill. All-in-all, Loki simply sees it as a bit of fun.
It wouldn’t be fair to say that Thor was the only reason that Loki had issues as he grew up. His father, Odin, also had a hand in that. Loki was taught to be noble, honest, wise and loving. After sometime he couldn’t help but notice, despite being a gentleman, wisely speaking his mind while still minding his tongue that he wasn’t belong loved like his brother (tricks aside), which made it hard for him to learn how to love and care for others he didn’t know. It made him an introvert and from a young age he begin to question things, causing even more insecurities and speculations that he could never find the courage to voice in a vain attempt to keep things as they were.
Strengths: Loki is, as I've stated before, brilliant, decisive and tactical. He's read more books than dozens of people will read in his lifetime and there's nothing more he would rather do than curl up with a book and read, expanding his knowledge. He thinks out every move before he executes it, thinking of every outcome and choosing the best option for the reaction he's looking for. And when it comes to batte, Loki is quick to decide what needs to be done and carries that out, unwavering unless someone goes and ruins his plan by doing something else.
Towards others, he can come off as as snobbish noble. Loki is prim and proper, when he's in the publics eye, and courteous and gentlemanly to women (albeit awkwardly at times). Towards other men he is professional and somewhat cold, though that is only how he reacts to acquaintances. With friends Loki remains mostly quiet unless spoken to and can appear to be slightly more relaxed. He is also very much against icecream which yes, when you don't like it, is very much a strength.
Weaknesses: The trickster is quite the loner. If left to his own devices, especially when he's lacking in spirits, Loki has a tendency to make things worse for himself. This is especially hindering when he's trying to be princely and is shot down by a snide comment by another, if they dared offend him. That being said, while Loki is prone to everyone's criticism, both Thor and Odin's words weigh even heavier on his consciousness. So he's not that surprisingly vulnerable to them, despite where he's being taken form. Oddly enough, Loki has a few weaknesses to food; salad and fruit. Secretly, one of his favorite fruits is paopu.
Loki also has a much larger weakness, one that very much trumps his downer moods. When in the right mood, when he’s bored for the most part and thinks things need a little lightening up, Loki likes nothing other than to give people a good fright. His pranks are something he can’t ignore, something he couldn’t fight even if he wanted to.

Action/Journal Sample: [The feed starts off with a small static crackle, the view nothing but black boots and cobblestone. There can be heard a few bleeps, nails tapping with fluttering in the background.] Do you understand now, kupo?
Yes, I believe I do. [A a smooth, highly accented voice rang with few more blips before a small sigh.]
Do you need anything else, kupo?
No-no, you’ve already made it impeccably clear just how impossible is it for me to return to my realm. [A small pause, the video moving slightly while legs were tucked behind one another.] Your services have been greatly appreciated, moogle.
[The fluttering noise got closer, the feed cut for a moment and suddenly the moogle came into view with a perplexed man just to the side of him.] Say hello to the people! Introduce yourself!
[Loki merely looked over to the fuzzy creature with a disbelieving stare before looking to the camera with a convincingly dull look, though there’s a bit of pain on his face.] Good evening citizens of Traverse Town; I am Loki Odinson of Asgard.
Don’t you want to ask anything, kupo?
[Lips pursed slightly as eyes shut, Loki clearing his throat softly.]I have nothing to ask of them, why would I-
About that man, kupo!
[Green eyes opened, glancing at the moogle clearly unamused.] What about that man?
Don’t you want to find him, kupo…?
I don’t believe you understand, I highly doubt this is where he was sent to.
You were sent here, kupo!
…You simply won’t leave me be, will you? [He asked, brows slightly furrowed at the Moogle.]
It won’t hurt to ask, kupo!
…Fine, [Was the sigh. He thought he could have looked for him on his own, but.] I am looking for my brother; Thor. [Another pause, Loki tilting his head slightly. And in a surprisingly delicate tone;] Any word would be appreciated.
RP Sample: Really, he was glad the small creature ended the network post for him when it did. Not that Loki wouldn't have done it himself, but he was sure that it was much friendlier for everyone else to see the moogle to, the post ending with an admittedly charming little face. With a sigh, Loki stood from the bench and started slowly down the street. No, what he was honestly glad was that the post wasn't long enough for others to see that he was showing some emotion. Of course he was worried for his brother, there wasn't ever a time he didn't think he could. But that didn't change the fact that he was worried too. Loki knew where he was, technically, and it didn't help his mind rest in the least.
He was taken from home. Whisked away as fast as his brother as far as he could collect. He turned from his father, walked down the stairs and next... here. He hadn't even had the chance to walk out on the bifrost. Loki stopped dead in his tracks, blankly staring into the distance as a harrowing, anxiety ridden pain shot through his limbs, making his heart pound wildly. Had... had Odin cast him out as well? Had he found out that it was Loki that cause those chain of events? That he had ruined Thor's coronation? Loki swallowed the lump in his throat, balling his hands into fists. No. No. He shook his head, continuing on. Odin couldn't have... he hadn't even said anything to him like he did for Thor.
Another set of pains ran through him, though duller this time, as he kept on. There were a lot of things Odin didn't tell him though, were't there? There had to have been. If things had been explained he wouldn't have even had these questions. For years, he wouldn't have had a doubt in his mind. But he did. And those questions couldn't be answered. Odin wasn't here, his mother. He couldn't even imagine where his brother went and-Loki stopped with a startle, looking at his pocket in confusion. With a frustrated sigh he reached to pull out the communication device. Some poor soul had actually seen that post of his?
