At looooooooong last!! The first pair of heart-print bloomers are finally finished!
These were the protoype pair I made all the mistakes on, so that's why it took so long to finish them.
I didn't notice when I bought it or cut it out that the pattern called for a drawstring waist and legs. I am not at all fond of drawstring anything so I decided to change it to elastic. Simple, right?
Not so much. I must have pondered, sewn, cursed and unpicked the one leg band four times trying to make it into a decent elastic casing. >_<; Fortunately, I finally figured it out so the next two pairs will go together a lot quicker.
Those are on hold temporarily, pending a thread sale at Hancock's on the 13th. I just bought myself my very first overlocker and since these have lots of straight seams, I think they'll be good practice. That machine is kinda scary. ^^;
