A fun weekend.

Here we are on another Monday and it's actually cold and damp in So Cal. I'm almost convinced the cold weather managed to follow me here from the "great white north" I called home for so long. I always say how much I mist frosty winters and each year it seems to get a little colder. :) Maybe I have some kind of weather mojo I wasn't aware of...heh heh.

Anywho, back to reality. This weekend was a lot of fun for the most part. Only a few little things out of whack (such as dealing with Sarah's family...if you haven't checked out her LJ entry, please do). Friday was our HeroClix league game and that's always a blast, though some of the rolls thrown that night even made me wondering what was going on. Saturday was pretty much hanging out at our place (Megan and Eric stayed the weekend with us) until after the USC game that some needed to watch and JLU that some needed to watch. heh heh We even squeezed the Jet Li movie Hero in there (the movie, not the person...). If you haven't seen Hero, please do so now. No, seriously, right now. It's that beautiful. This is not your standard martial arts fare, this is epic...but I digress. Afterwards Sarah, Megan, Eric, and I met up with Jes, Matt, Richard, Chad, and a few other (sorry, I don't know your names) at the local pool hall for a bit o' billiards. Imagine the pressure, I haven't gotten around to shooting for nearly a year and now I had to teach the basics to someone that had never shot pool before! heh heh Well, there really wasn't any pressure...but it sounded good I thought. I must make more of an effort to get up there and shoot more often. Pool and poker were my only vices when I was in the service and I really need to brush up on both. :) Sunday was the usual empty house as Sarah and everyone else went to church and I spent the morning relaxing, catching up on reading and listening to music. Sarah was the first to return and we just had fun playing Vs., Chronology, and Trivial Pursuit until Eric and Megan returned from a music recital. We hung out and by evening were joined by not only Matt and Jes, but Richard and Christine (nice to finally meet you!) as well! (My apologies if any names were spelled incorrectly, by the way...I've not seen them on paper yet. lol) Sarah, Megan and I were exposed to a game that was created by the rest that can only be described as Uno on crack. Between cards, video games, 30 second horror movies reenacted by bunnies, and telling funny (and scary) stories the night was pretty much full. Thank you to everyone that came over and I hope you all enjoyed the evening as much as I had. The odd thing was, we attempted to watch two different movies at a few different points and ended up not seeing either. lol

Anywho, it's back to the grind before my overlords here crack the whip. :P Have a great day everyone and be safe!
