I just saw an ad that had paused in the middle of its run, leading me to believe that it was about "the world's baddest chili." Before I could read it closer, the ad started running again, zoomed out, and somehow became "the world's baddest children."
I love that my dad is a pediatrician. How else could I walk downstairs and see a CD with a label in large, bold, yellow letters proclaiming, "INFANT REFLUX AND GERD"?
I had an extensive dream last night about buying prom dresses, and now I really want to go shopping. Unfortunately, I still have my English paper to forge through. On the bright side, I finished my DBQ in one day, right on schedule. Yay!
We watched Hairspray at rehersal on Saturday. I'd write a review, but I'm a little bit too stunned. Favorite lines:
"Go to second! Go to second!" "Oh yeah!"
"Don't you try to cast one of your voodoo spells on me, native woman!"
"The council will now meet in secret, debate your personality flaws, and come to a final decision."
I went to see Tristan and Isolde yesterday. I don't think it merits a full review, but I will say this for it: it didn't suck as badly as I thought it would. I thought for a second they were going to get into that thing of jerking the camera everywhere during fight scenes so that it's impossible to know exactly what's going on, but they stopped that after a few puzzling shots. It made me realize once again why I like Lord of the Rings so much. The story was a blend of Romeo and Juliet, Arthurian legend, and Cain and Abel. The script was kinda poorly written (my favorite example was Tristan's rather pouty "Can't" in response to a suggestion from Isolde) and the chemistry between the two leads wasn't all that amazing, but I do like Rufus Sewell (Marke) and James Franco (Tristan) can be fairly hot. Though he isn't as muscular as I'd like. And to be honest, I was tearing up at the end. But not because of the love story...because I get all emotional when guys still try to save a kingdom after they've had a sword stuck through their torso almost to the hilt. As soon as the love story came back, my tears dried right back up.
Natalie keeps bugging me to get a myspace. Should I give in?
