Well I guess I should make a quick update for those of you I haven't already told. I made a fun trip to the ER Sunday morning and had my appendix removed. I'm still recovering although I was feeling well enough today to start doing laundry so I guess that's a good sign (?).
There isn't much story to tell, really. I woke up around 7am Sunday with intense stabbing pains in my abdomen. I laid in bed for a little while hoping they would go away but no such luck, so I called my dad to have him take me to the ER. They pretty quickly decided it was appendicitis and by 12 I was going into surgery. Fast forward about 6 hours and I finally wake up (I took a nap after I got out of surgery since I had slept 2 hours the previous night :d) in a hospital room. My entire body was sore because apparently in surgery your muscles all tense up or something; my dad explained it to me but I wasn't all there at the time. Anyway, they were nice enough to let me leave that night, and I was only in the hospital for a total of 12 hours. The next few days I spent lounging around at my parents' house, watching TV and taking pain pills. It was really hard to do anything the first couple of days but it got progressively easier.
So that kind of ruined my week. I can't go back to work until I get a doctor's release and my appointment is on Monday. Hopefully my boss will give me most of my vacation hours so I won't be completely broke, but that seems kinda unlikely. Guess I'll find out next friday.
That's really all that has happened to me. New Years was completely kickass though, we had a bunch of people over at Neal's and had a really awesome time. Met some cool people too. :D
