Goals
I don't really believe in making New Year's Resolutions. For one thing, its something my family never practiced on New Year's Eve or anything like that and also because I set goals continually throughout the year, sometimes years, and adjust them as needed. The goals that I have set recently (and by recently, I mean mid summer and up to now) are as follows:
*finish a story (I have a dozen starts and some with pages and pages written and I just need to keep writing!)
*Own the entire series of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and related works
*Start my pro-cert program Fall 2009
*Determine when and how I will start my masters degree (to join it with the pro-cert or not?)
*Buy a house
*grow my hair long again (right now it is just barely shoulder length)
*Get a dog and talk Kevin into naming him either "Chewy" or "Kenobi"
In high school, I set a goal of owning the complete works of Jane Austen novels. I am happy to say, that I attained that goal in 2008 (among a few others). :)
