summer days, driftin' away
I started back on my "school schedule" yesterday. School begins on Aug 27, but I am back for some training and in-services and getting the room ready. My principal was able to get tables for my room so no more desks! I'm way excited to do things a little differently this year. Also, I was interviewed by the Columbian, the newspaper in these parts and they're sending a photographer to my in-service on Thursday to get some shots. Pretty cool. Their doing a story about the workforce for Labor Day and decided to put part of their focus on teaching and my district recommended the reporter to interview me! I'm not going to let it go to my head though....
Being back in the swing of things is tiring! All I did yesterday was attend a 7 or so hour class on The Daily Five (I was also involved in doing some of the facilitating) and I totally passed out last night at 9:30, watching The New Adventures of Old Christine. I told Kevin we need to get a tv for our bedroom so I can watch tv and fall asleep in bed.
