Fifth Night [Voice/Action]

[...Okay.  For a fact, those robots cannot be stopped.  Yet.   While standing guard and speaking with Detective Kiyone in the tunnels regarding the prisoners several days ago, the Malnosso's robotic abductors broke into the prison where Naoya and Dilandau were being held.  Batman and Kiyone put up a fight against the machines, but were ultimately ( Read more... )

[Since Batman is searching for people connected to Dilandau, it won't be too hard to find one of the obvious connections from his own world.

Folken is walking towards community building #7 with a few bags of groceries at the moment. Yeah, he's not exactly aware that Dilandau has escaped since he made efforts to ensure Dilandau would be required to get in touch with them via the journals.

Of course knowing Batman, he probably knows Naria and Folken moved to a new apartment the same day Dilandau admitted to murder.]

[Ah, there's one of the people connected to Dilandau... he had spoken to him once before, he believed. Well. Time to go to work. Surprise: A voice from behind and from above.]

Folken.

[If Folken is surprised, he sure isn't acting like it. He looks in the direction the voice seems to be coming from.]

Yes?

[And Batman jumps down from a tree into plain view.]

...We need to talk.

[That gets a raised eyebrow, but more for the "we need to talk" than the strange entrance. It actually wasn't well known that Dilandau got out, so Folken actually wouldn't be aware of it that I know of since it was doubtful Naria would mention that.] And I assume you wish complete privacy for this?

Yes. It's rather important.

Do you have a spot in mind then? [The roof of a building isn't an issue for Folken if Batman wants to go that route, Bats has probably seen Folken's large black wings and that unlike Luceti wings, they do work.]

[Batman looks up. ...Ah, the top of that community building. That should work. ...But a question does have to be asked before he takes Folken for a ride with the grapple gun.]

...Can you fly with those?

[Very observant of you Batman, but not a bad trait or something that would weird Folken out, he spends a lot of time observing people too.]

Draconian wings aren't just for show like the ones this place gives. They will carry me to the top of a community building.

[Though Folken does have to remove his shirt to do so. Cutting holes in clothing for large wings that appear at will isn't too practical. Bats will get a great view of Folken's mechanical right arm and the wings which are pure black and match his Luceti wings, except that each wing is as long as he is tall and he's not exactly a short man.]

[Makes sense. In order for wings to support the weight of a full grown human male, they'd have to be very large. The mechanical arm is something of a surprise, but he doesn't react or remark about it. Instead, he just pulls out the grapple gun from his utility belt, and launches its hook at the roof. He'll meet Folken up there.]

[Bats will probably get there first since those grapple hooks do move him pretty quick, but Folken only stops for long enough to grab his things and get an idea of what building they are going on top of. He'll get to the top likely a few seconds after Batman.

And once he lands, the large wings disappear, the Luceti ones of course remain. And Folken will put his shirt and cloak back on, and the arm is very much covered, and likely gives away why he likes cloaks even in nice weather.]

[As for Batman, he wordlessly slides the grapple gun back into the proper place in his belt, then allows the cape to drape around himself, barely exposing any of his batsuit.]

...I'm looking for information.

Dilandau recently escaped from his confinement cell. He did so with the aid of another individual.

How was this even able to happen?

A few days before, the Malnosso's robots attacked the prison, removing Naoya. I was injured in the process. I suspect it was around that time that Dilandau somehow managed to recover his journal. I had taken it away from him when I locked him up there.

...I wasn't able to keep round-the-clock surveillance on the cells with my injuries, however. While I was out, someone had infiltrated the facility by picking every last lock in the facility. ...After I discovered this, I noticed Dilandau had used his journal to contact someone in the village.

[He pulls his journal out from the back of his utility belt and opens it to Dilandau's last entry.]

It has to be someone close to him. Someone who would have something to gain by setting him free. [And with that, he activates the voice clip in that entry, revealing Naria's voice.]
