ugh vets are annoying!

Mia has diarrhea, so of course I am going to take her to the vet because it's been going on for a little while. SO I go there and he says that it's probably due to diet or a parasite, but overall she seems pretty healthy, but I should bring in a stool sample just to make sure... this was all fine, but then i made the mistake of asking if it was ok that I gave her her ear mite medication six days late, he looked in her ears and said there was still some residue and that I should give her one more dose just to be safe, but of course the medication doesn't come in one dose, so I have to buy three!! OMG!! it's 42 dollars!! OMG!! agh... why did I even bother asking!??? soooo yeah the stool sample analysis is going to cost 30 extra dollars.. I am thinking I should just try the diet thing and see if it gets better before I bring in the stool sample.... is that a good idea or should I just bring it in right away anyways???
I am kind of bummed too if it is a diet thing because I just bought a HUGE bag of kitten food... so that would be a waste of money if it turns out that she doesn't need to eat that anymore.... ugh!!
I LOVE MY kitty though!!! :) she's the best! :)
