I feel like a horrible mouse owner!

Today Dylan and Mia were in my room and everything was cool... I saw Dylan eyeing the bookshelf and I told him no. He backed away a little bit but he was still eyeing it. Soon after he was up on the bookshelf. I screamed NO at him and went to go grab him off the bookshelf. Unfortunately in grabbing him, he grabbed the mouse cage and it tumbled off the bookshelf.... I quickly took it to the bathroom to see if Elphie and Malashi were ok. I was soo scared... i mean their cage tumbled upside down!! I opened the cage and found Elphie, she seemed fine so I picked her up and held her for a bit and realized that the tip of her tail was bent! I think she may have broken it, but she seems ok. I hope that it's not too serious because I don't have the money to fix it. I think I am going to call the vet and see what she thinks. Anyways, I found Malashi soon after and she seemed fine as well. I hope that they don't have some huge internal injuries!! That would be soo sad if they died! Sooo.. I got back from class today and I've seen Elphie and she seems ok... I haven't seen Malashi yet though... I moved my cage into my closet so that it's not temptation for Dylan... now everytime i see him looking at it or trying to find a way to get up there, I spray him.

I feel soo guilty and like such a bad mouse owner! I really hope they are ok! I don't know if I should keep them... I don't want to endanger them anymore. I love them though and they make me happy... awww....I bawled this morning! I am too stressed out and this just made it worse.... poor mousies!!

On a happier note, Mia learned how to use her scratching post! :)
