I'm so bored I decided to blog.
Jeez, it's been a really long time since I came here and I'm closer to ORD! (Ahahaha I know you assholes who've already ord-ed are gonna have a lot to say..BUT JUST 2 MONTHS BABEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE)
Really hope the 5 of us chumps are gonna go japan. Speaking of travelling, I REALLY WANNA BACKPACK AROUND SOUTH EAST ASIA. But...$$$$$$$$$$$$ :( and uni!
I really can't wait to go uni. Then again, I'm kinda stuck between NUS and SMU. Honestly, I'm more inclined to switch to NUS now.
Oh, and over these few months, so many things have happened. Met new people, really awesome people :) went to Australia, not for a vacation though :( Tons of pictures on Facebook taken during the trip. Definitely don't wanna go back there again, at least not to Rockhampton HAHA.
Looking back at my army life thus far, it hasn't been as fulfilling as the rest of my peers hahaha, having stayed out for almost 7-8 months and not needing to do IPPT/SOC etc. Yes, regrettably this was how I chose to spend my 2 years. If I had another chance at it, I probably would've done the exact opposite. Alright, no point talking bout all that. Though it might not be as strenuous as what others are going through, I believe my enlistment into the SAF has taught me how much I DON'T want to be like certain people. I know this is weird but it's really got me motivated to study really hard in university, and I know this time I'm not procrastinating at all. Almost 2 years in army lets you meet all kinds of people (mostly awesome ones!), it's where you see the most illogical people doing the most illogical things. Then again, I must say I would've terribly regretted it if I didn't enlist back in January 2009. The whole experience of being in an army, be it slack or intense, is a really important lesson that I think everyone should have a chance to undergo. It's hard to explain what you really acquire at the end of this juncture of our lives until you've experienced it yourself.
Why am I blabbering on about NS. The moment I ord I must make it a personal resolution to talk about army excessively and unnecessarily. This too, should be something guys (in or out of NS) in Singapore should really strive for HAHAHA. Everyday we eat, sleep, talk army. You not sian, I also sian already. We need to be more like normal guys, we need to talk about sports, friend's girlfriends, games and what we wanna do with our lives and bitch about each other (in front of each other). Not army all the time!
As you can see I'm really bored. I can't believe I just typed a whole load of bullshit.
I'm off, and I'll be back soon, I promise!
