Summary: Barry thinks Harrison seems familiar.
“Are you ready?” Cisco rubbed his hands together. “It’s time for your tests.”
I shook my head, these daily tests were starting to wear on my patience. I looked between him and Dr. Snow. In that moment, I caught sight of Harrison sitting off to one side. He gave me a small smile.
He always seemed so familiar, and it was something besides the dark hair and big glasses. The only other person I’d known in a wheelchair seemed to have a lot in common with Harrison. My mind flashed back to the time I’d spent in Westerville, Ohio. It was one of the times I’d told everyone I was going to Starling City, but once I’d started moving, I decided to go somewhere new. I came across Dalton and it appealed to me. It just seemed so normal. It had been so easy to change my name and enroll. I thought of the competing glee club and the small boy I’d never thought I’d see in a group that had to sing and dance on stage. Harrison had the same easy smile, the same boundless energy. It was something else.. It was almost as if they were both magnetic… people were drawn to them.
I saw Harrison’s smile falter, just for a moment.
I shook my head and let them run their tests. After we were finished, I went over to Harrison. “Did I ever tell you I know someone in a wheelchair? Maybe you should talk to him some time.” I said nonchalantly.
I knew no matter how he tried to hide it, he still wasn’t used to his chair. He just shook his head. “No thanks. I think I’ll be OK.”
I watched as he slowly rolled away. He was so familiar, I thought. Artie would have said the exact same thing.
