big mac vs. mcdouble
I was really craving a cheapass burger, and used McDonald's stoppage of using pink slime to rationalize going there.
Big Mac "large value meal" is on sale now for $4.99. The receipt actually broke it down into: Big Mac: $3.30 and Large Drink+Fries: $1.69. The list price for the Big Mac was $3.69. I also got a McDouble just because I haven't had a Dollar Menu burger in years. The Big Mac was somewhat disappointing, because the patties were about the same as the ones in the McDouble, which meant the extra $2.30 were for the extra bun, lettuce, and thousand island. The fries were tasty, though. I agree that the onions in the McDouble is what pushes it a bit beyond BK's double cheeseburger. Bottom line: Try a Wendy's Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe next time.
