Just sitting here in my hotel room in Jerusalem now, going out in a few hours. Israel has been very awesome (much better than I thought - helps that it's not in the 90s or 100s here!!!!). So far I've visited the Golan Heights up north, seen into Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan (at least from a distance), been to the Kineret (or as you might know it, Sea of Galilee), and for the past 4 days have been in Jerusalem. I've visited the Kotel (Western Wall)/Old City and tonight we're going to a disco. I was 50 miles away from a bombing (Suicide bomber went into a Tel Aviv bus station) and hopefully won't get anywhere nearer to a bombing this trip (or in general).
New York was also awesome - but very cold. Not Davis "ooh, I'm a pussy, it's in the 50s and there are 2 clouds so I'll bust out a heavy coat and umbrella" cold. This was 14 degree "damn, I wish I had thermal underwear cause my nuts and legs are fucking freezing" cold. Marc and I checked out Times Square (as he puts it, "a giant testicle" - everything has to be bigger, brighter, and louder), Rockefeller Center, and 5th Ave. I'll hopefully go up to the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Bldg or Rockefeller Ctr (it's $16 to go up the Empire State - fuckin expensive), and do other fun stuff the weekend I'm there!
Guess that's it for now, I'll try to update when I get to my grandparents' place next week!
