[Kiaran's managed to get her larger body up on one of the stools at Sergei's Bar and Grille. It was empty and she had helped herself to a glass filled from the bottle of some random liquor she found behind the bar. It didn't matter what it was as long as it helped her feel better ( Read more... )

Patrick was miserable. Remy was being off again, and with everything that had happened (he still had very little clue about what had happened on the ship), he'd been rather down, and he hadn't had a drink during the entire escapade; his private stash had gone dry the night before, and in all the hustle and bustle he hadn't had a chance to get more.

Pushing open the door to Sergei's, he moved towards the bar, only to stop when he noticed the very large.... cow. Inching closer, he cleared his throat, reaching over the bar for a bottle of gin.

"Er... Hi."

Kiaran snapped out of her thoughts when a voice broke in. She looked over in mild surprise, then relaxed when she saw it was just another passenger.

"Hi."

She managed a smile despite her negative mood.

Patrick gave a small smile before pouring himself a drink. What do you say to a talking cow? Deciding that being friendly and assuming nothing would work the best, he smiled.

"I'm Patrick."

"I'm Kiaran Whitehoof." Realizing that he's a little nervous by her appearance, she decides to elaborate. "A Tauren."

The druid extends a hand, familiar with the human custom of a handshake. She only has three fingers, and her hand is rather massive.

"It's nice to meet you. You are welcome to join me. I just needed to relax.."

"Nice to meet you, Kiaran." Shaking her hand awkwardly, he gave her a cheerful grin. Odd to him she may be, at least she was friendly! Sipping his gin, he sat on one of the stools.

"Thanks. What are you drinking?"

"I.. don't even know." She looked embarrassed. "I just grabbed a bottle and poured from it."

Her tail swishes as she chuckles lightly.

"I just wanted to get drunk."

"Ah, that always works too." Grinning he moved around the bar, digging out the ingredients for a martini. Filling his glass with liquor, he set the jar of olives next to it and began to pick them out, chewing them lazily.

"Me too. It's been a while."

"Is something weighing on your mind, too?"

[She watched as he mixed a drink. She wsan't sure what was what, because everything had different names in Azeroth.]

"Could you pass me a bottle of something, please?"

"Not really." Well, sort of, but he didn't feel like talking about it. Grabbing a bottle of whiskey, he passed it to Kiaran. "There ya go; try that." Smiling, he drained his glass in a few sips, before returning to munching on olives again.

"Thank you." She took a sip and shivered. Good stuff.

"I've been thinking a lot lately. Maybe too much.." Kiaran paused. She wasn't normally a big talker, but she seemed to ease into conversation tonight. Must be the liquor.

"I couldn't fully heal someone yesterday.. and it bothers me. It reminds me of... things I'd rather not speak of."

"That.. I'm sorry." Leaning across the bar, he gave Kiaran's hand a squeeze. "Do you know why it didn't work?" He asked quietly, pouring himself some whiskey as well.

She was surprised by the sudden contact. Warriors like her and Kevas.. just.. don't really connect like humans seem to. Handshakes, hugs, pats on the shoulders... they seemed almost foreign. Her shoulder is tense, then it relaxes, slowly.

"I guess it's a ship-wide thing. For me, it's like the voice of nature has quieted down to a mere whisper. It's.. so frustrating." She took a quick drink from the bottle. "To feel powerless."

Pat felt Kiaran stiffen, and removed his hand quickly. He ought to know from experience that not everybody was touchy feely like he was. Wrapping both hands around his drink, he pulled up a few milk crates to sit on.

"I know how you feel. Since I've arrived on the ship, I haven't been able to feel my God." His voice is soft and sad, and he sips the drink, clearly distressed over this.

"This ship.." She hated thinking about it. It suppressed your powers and randomly killed you. How fair was that?

"I hate it."

With that simple comment, she downed the rest of the bottle. Stupid alcohol wasn't strong enough to knock out a minotaur, it seemed.

"I don't like it much either," Patrick admitted, digging in the olive jar for a few more. Dropping them in the glass, he refilled it with gin and took a sip.

Watching her down the bottle, he raised an eyebrow. "Wow..."

Kiaran let out a loud exhale. She hoped soon she'd start to feel fuzzy.

"It's harder for my kind to get drunk. We're just so much bigger than the dwarves that usually make the brews."
