Covering the Bases
Part Fifty-Five - Flowers and More!

Shori - *so it was the brat/wonderful. peachy. fantastic/Yuuri apparently had quite an expensive bride/is suddenly glad Yuuri's the first of the two of them to get married/this way he can learn from his little brother's mistakes and look out for things to avoid/grumbles* "Boy am I glad I'm not stuck with a whiny little brat like him..."

Yuuri - *strangely, not offended by that like times before/grins at his brother* "You wouldn't be able to handle it, you know." *yeah, so maybe Wolfram was a brat, but it was part of his charm... or... something like that...*

Shori - *shakes his head, though he agrees wholeheartedly/not only wouldn't he be able to handle it, he wouldn't want to try* "Have you ever thought to consider the fact that he might be the slightest bit bipolar?" *he didn't mean it as in insult at all/he was being completely serious/either the blond was just excessively, over abundantly spoiled, or he had some mental issues that hadn't been diagnosed or managed well*

Yuuri - *opens his mouth, then closes it/pauses, thinking about it/mumbles after a short while* "Well... that would explain a lot..." *huh...*

Shori - *nods in agreement* "You might want to look into it." *maybe if they got the kid on some kind of medication, he'd cool off and not be so... out there...*

Yuuri - *not really sure if Wolfram woudl go for that or not...* "Yeah... I'll... see about that..." *maybe he could get Gisela to get him to take some medicine... or... something...*

Shori - *vaguely wonders if the people in the other world would know what bipolar disorder is, but doesn't question his brother about it/if he wanted to continue dealing with his manic fiance, then that was his choice/he just thought putting him on something would get him to calm down at least a little, and save Yuuri a bit of stress/continues to drive home, trying to ignore the scent of hundreds upon hundreds of flowers, though it was somewhat difficult*

Yuuri - *sits silent thinking about the chance of Wolfram being bipolar for a while/yeah... well... if he did calm down some, it might be better... but he highly doubted that Wolf would go for something like that - it was like... calling him mentally unstable.... not a great conversation starter.../yeah, he could just picture that now.../not a very pretty thought...*

Shori - *personally, he thinks someone needs to sit down with the brat and give him a stern talking to/or maybe a nice hard whack across the face would work wonders, though he doubted Yuuri would agree to something like that/thinks on Wolfram's behavior again, and the more he does, the more he thinks there's something wrong with the kid mentally* "Or he could have an anxiety or panic disorder, or even a thyroid problem..." *apparently Shori's pretty smart, so of course he'd know these sorts of things* "Or even an eating disorder, though I highly doubt that. He's not afraid of food, is he?"

Yuuri - *stares at his brother, a bit baffled about all the things he was saying Wolfram could possibly have wrong with him/sarcastic* "Oh yes, after that time he was attacked by a piece of toast, he's never been able to go near food again..." *frowns a bit, not really sure he liked having all these things listed out about Wolfram*

Shori - *rolls his eyes at his sarcasm* "That's not what I meant, moron. I didn't mean afraid of food in general. Does he eat like he's supposed to, or does he skip meals left and right? Is he overly concerned about his weight and appearance..." *speaking of being concerned with his appearance...* "He might be a bit OCD, too..."

Yuuri - *nods at that* "Well... I kinda already picked up on his OCD-ness... It's kinda cute, though..." *thinks about it a bit* "Well... he doesn't really eat that much... but... he's never mentioned anything about being concerned about his weight... he just claims not to be hungry at times... so he doesn't eat..." *frowns some more* "I really wish he did eat like he was supposed to, though... and he knows he's supposed to eat more now that... uh... yeah...." *well... eating for two required a bit more than what Wolfram was used to eating...*

Shori - "Just because he knows he supposed to eat more doesn't mean he does, or will..." *looks at Yuuri when they're momentarily stopped at a red light* "I'm not trying to say he's got a serious problem, I'm just listing out a few options. He being pregnant,-" *and he still wasn't too happy about that* "-I'm sure hormones have a bit to do with how fast he's swinging moods now, but even before that he was almost excessively moody. If he does have bipolar disorder, or hyperthyroidism, or an eating disorder or whatever, it's not the end of the world. It's not like you can't fix it."

Yuuri - *sputters at him* "There's nothing really there to fix! It's not like he's some psycho, burning down towns and stuff..." *really hopes he's not speaking too soon...* "I love him how he is... and... I don't think he'd be too happy with me suddenly wanting him to change, even if it's supposed to help him..."

Shori - *starts to drive again once the light's turned green, turning back to looking out over the road* "I didn't say he was psycho, he's just..." *well... he can't really think of a good word to describe him - 'manic' just made it seem as if he did have a mental problem, and it didn't seem as if Yuuri were too comfortable thinking about him like that - not the he could blame him; if someone suddenly started spouting off crap about his girlfriend or whatever being mentally unstable, he'd probably react the same way* "Look, just... look into it. You wouldn't be changing him, per se; you'd be helping him more than anything else. He's more of a danger to himself than he is to anyone else."

Yuuri - *grumbles* "Fine, whatever..." *crosses his arms again to pout/really didn't like the idea of having Wolfram being labeled with problems/suddenly snorts, obviously finding something very amusing* "Well, jee... Even if Wolf's bipolar, he's still got nothing on me." *well... it was true.../like... super split personality... or something...*

Shori - *touché/shrugs* "That's true... I suppose... though it's not like you get like that every day. He can swing to a different mood every hour. When's the last time you went crazy-psycho-demon-king on anyone?"

Yuuri - *frowns a little, trying not to think too much into it and just give his brother an approximate time* "Well... fully...? Uhh.... a little less than two months ago...."

Shori - "Alright, then, see? And why was that? Because you were protecting someone, right?" *or so he assumed/he'd only seen his brother do it a few times before, so he was only going off of what he'd been able to observe* "Whatever Wolfram has would be more severe, considering he can go from being happy to angry to depressed in a matter of hours."

Yuuri - "Yeah... I guess..." *ended up doing a horrible job of 'protecting' but whatever.../mumbles* "He's not that bad..."

Shori - *snorts* "'Not that bad?!'" *obviously doesn't believe him* "He threw a fit because I wouldn't give his cat back to him, and then he locked himself into your room. And I'm sure he's done worse than that before."

Yuuri - *pouts a little/okay... he was right about a few things/mumbles more* "Well... it's okay... I mean... he's not hurting anyone... and he wears himself out fast... so it's not like he can really hurt himself..."

Shori - "Just because he never has before doesn't mean he never will." *gives him a quick, disbelieving glance before looking back towards the road* "And there are different levels to hurting oneself. I'm sure he's not emo and cutting himself behind your back. He doesn't have to draw blood to cause physical injury."

Yuuri - *wow.../grumbles* "I know that... Gisela is making sure he's okay... He'll be fine..." *though, now he's starting to worry even more about the blond than he had been... great...*

Shori - *shakes his head at him* "'Gisela is making sure he's okay,' huh? Which implies that he's not fine if he has to have someone look out for him."

Yuuri - *grumbles more, getting a bit frustrated* "Hey, I've got it under control, okay...?" *what was Shori trying to get at, anyway...??*

Shori - *shrugs again/doesn’t really believe that he has it ‘under control’/if the problem hasn’t been accurately identified, then how could he possibly have anything under control/but he could tell his little brother was getting frustrated over all of this, so he keeps the remainder of his thoughts to himself, falling silent and putting most of his focus back onto his driving*

Yuuri - *darn right he's got it under control.../grumbles to himself about how Wolfram didn't have problems/obviously in denial about things like that - like he's in denial about a lot of things/probably has a mental problem, himself, about how he keeps denying everything/wonders if Shori or someone has ever tried giving him drugs for his denial/did they even make stuff like that?/wouldn't be surprised.../stupid people who kept saying things about his Wolfie.../wow... mental rant, much?*

Shori - *keeps glancing at his brother out of the corner of his eye every once in a while, just to keep watch over him and make sure he didn't get too depressed or whatever/being the super awesome over-protective older brother that he is, he doesn't think Yuuri has a mental problem of his own at all/the poor guy was just stressed/with a fiancé like his and all the work he has to do, it was probably enough to stress anyone out/and it is thoughts like these that makes Shori thankful he's only a Demon King in training*

Yuuri - *sulks some more, staring silently out of the front window at the road ahead of them/well, he did have that alternate personality thing he had to deal with - wouldn't that count as having mental problems...? shouldn't he be on drugs for that? really... if Wolfram had something wrong with him... then shouldn't there be something wrong with Yuuri too?/there's his denial, his sexy alter-ego, his stupidity -- maybe he was really just retarded... that would explain a lot of things.../he could see it now - 'Yuuri, the retarded demon king'/lovely... just lovely...*

Shori - *wow.../okay.../keeps driving, and keeps his silence as well, because he can't really think of anything to say that wouldn't lead him to start questioning Wolfram's behavior and over all mental state, and it's more than obvious that Yuuri doesn't want to hear about any of that at the moment/great..../wonderful.../way to go, big brother; you just upset poor little Yuu-chan.../sighs, navigating through traffic before stopping at another red light*

Yuuri - *which he had known about his retardedness before when he was in high schoool/didn't they have handicaps or something for people like him...? like being able to take as long as he wanted to on tests...?/or maybe that was just ADD.../whatever.../wonders about what other problems he had/gosh... thanks Shori...*

Shori - *tries to think of something to converse about that might cheer Yuuri up a little bit, or at least get him to start thinking of other things besides his and Wolfram's mental issues/awkwardly* "So... uhh... Matsuzaka was traded to the Red Sox..." *random, he knows, but baseball had always been a good distraction for Yuuri*

Yuuri - *glances up at him with his wide, big, black eyes - yes, it was the look of 'oh my gosh, I'm so adorable' only not, because he didn't exactly think he was 'adorable' or whatever... but really...* "What?? Are you serious?! That's awesome! Have you been watching the games?? How's he doing?? Wow!" *obviously excited/yeah... little things distract him quite easily - especially when it came to baseball*

Shori - "Uhh, well, I haven't exactly been watching the games - too much work and all that - but I've been reading up on him and keeping tabs. Seems like he's doing good so far. Boston seems to like him." *which was saying something, because the Boston fans were some of the hardest to please/wonders if maybe he should use some of his awesome 'I'm a Demon King in training' connections and hook Yuu-chan up with some tickets the next time he's here*

Yuuri - *fidgets excitedly in his seat/classic goofy grin* "That's great! Wow! I can't believe I missed all that! Well... I can believe it... since I haven't been here... -- but stil! That's great! Aaahh... I miss watching games so much! It just isn't the same without the professional players..." *wondering about looking up the times for the games so he could make afternoon trips back to Earth just to watch them*

Shori - *smiles to himself/yup, distracting him with baseball still seemed to work/good/continues driving* "You can always get Dad to record them for you, you know..." *aah... technology/being the Demon King of an alternate world was probably pretty cool, but Shori was plenty happy staying on Earth with his television and computers and super sleek cars/yeah... this was the life, man...*

Yuuri - *that works too!* "Yeah! I'll ask him when we get home!" *excited now/really wants to watch some good games/yeah, being in another world for most of the time kinda sucked when it came to keeping up with everything that was happening on Earth...*

Shori - *cackles inwardly to himself, thinking he had it so much easier than his poor little brother/sucker.../of course, thinking like that made him feel guilty and want to go to the other world with him and protect the poor guy/he could only imagine all the work he had to do - probably twice as much as he himself had to deal with - and then adding a mentally unstable fiancé and two races of people constantly at odds with one another, and he could understand why Yuuri was so stressed out all the time/poor kid had it rough...*

Yuuri - *starts to ramble about baseball and how he missed 'real' games and such - probably just a bunch of stuff that someone who didn't obsess about baseball wouldn't really get... but he didn't really care right now/yeah, he was definitely going to have to get his dad to record the games for him/Shori was lucky that he could be distracted so easily - curse that baseball weakness...*

Shori - *smiles to himself some more as he listens to his little brother ramble/now that was more like it/it reminds him of their childhood, when he'd take sweet, innocent, adorable little Yuu-chan outside to play catch, or go to the park to watch him play with his little teammates/easily remembers when Yuuri had started to play T-ball, and how the 'one-size-fits-all' helmets had been too big for his head/the little runt had been one of the smaller boys on the team/poor thing.../looks at him out of the corner of his eye again/too bad he wasn't such a shrimp anymore; if their fight had gone any longer, Shori was sure he probably would have lost/even though Yuuri didn't seem to be very good at defending himself, he punched hard*

Yuuri - *continues to ramble for a while, throwing in some hand movements every now and then as if that would help explain things, or make it more exciting to listen too/finally trails off from talking after a while, only then realizing that he was being completely ridiculous with his baseball obsession/well... it wasn't as if Wolfram would actually listen to his rants about the sport - though... he supposed he did have Conrad to talk to about it, but he sometimes had to wonder just what Conrad was always smiling about.../weirdo...*

Shori - *patiently listens to him go off on his little baseball tangent, not bothered in the least, though he does desperately try to think of something else to say or ask when Yuuri falls silent, not wanting him to return to his pouting/keeps driving, a little annoyed by all the traffic, though he supposes he should expect it* "Is there anywhere else you needed to go before we head home?"

Yuuri - *shakes his head* "Not really... Just... the flowers... I didn't have anything else I really wanted to do off the top of my mind..." *glances at him again, wondering if he'd bored him silly with all the baseball talk* "Did you want to go anywhere before going home...?"

Shori - *shrugs* "Not really. I just figured I'd ask. I've got nothing else to do, so..." *whatever/sometimes writing endless e-mails got boring/plus, he liked driving, so playing chauffer for his little brother wasn't so bad*

Yuuri - "Oh..." *not really sure he wanted to go back to their flighty mother and get cookies shoved down his throat* "I can't think of anything at the moment... thanks for asking though..." *awww... his brother could be so nice when he wanted to be - though he could be a jerk just as easily... hmph... saying all those things about Wolfram and such....*

Shori - "No problem..." *fine, then, jeez/he'd just continue heading home/turns down another street, rolling his eyes at the slowness of the cars in front of him/not that he liked driving fast, but he did enjoy actually going the speed limit*

Yuuri - *yeah... traffic... something he hadn't missed..../it was kinda hard to get into a traffic jam while on horses - or at least outside of towns and cities... if the crowds were big enough, there was a bit of traffic... but nothing like this...*

Shori - *well, then that was one thing better in the other world than here/he'd still take Earth anyday, though/at least he didn't have to write out his name on every single sheet of paper he had to sign/he had a handy-dandy stamp for that/thinks about getting one specially made for Yuuri, just so the poor thing wouldn't hurt himself signing all those papers all the time/it had to be painful*

Yuuri - *eh... it wasn't so bad after his finger went numb from writing his name so much/though, all that ink.... maybe it was toxic...? did that have something to do with his retardedness...?/great...*

Shori - *stops at yet another red light/oh my gosh, driving in the city was so annoying sometimes/eventually gets bored with the silence and flicks on the CD player, turning the volume down at bit so they'd easily be able to talk over it, not bothering to turn on the radio and just letting the CD he already had in there play - some mix of western music that 'someone special' had burned for him/not that he was unable to understand it; he was fluent in English after all - being the super smart person that he was*

Yuuri - *raises his eyebrow at the music, glancing curiously at his brother/well... that was interesting.../had he always liked stuff like that...?*

Shori - *no, he hadn't, but he'd spent so much time driving 'someone special' around and having to listen to their music that it had started to grow on him a little/is glad with the light quickly turns green*

Yuuri - *really curious about it and can't help but ask* "English, huh...? Didn't know you liked this stuff..." *not that it was bad... just different...*

Shori - *shrugs* "I tolerate it..." *a lot of the music sounded kinda strange in his opinion, and some of the lyrics were a bit questionable, but whatever/he'd never had a particular favorite genre of music/he'd listen to just about anything*

Yuuri - "Why do you even have it...?" *thinks it's kinda weird for him to have something like that*

Shori - "Someone gave it to me..." *was being vague on purpose*

Yuuri - *raises an eyebrow at him/obviously just teasing* "You have friends...?"

Shori - *snorts, knows he's just joking/jokes back* "Sure I have friends. While you spent all your time playing baseball, I was out at parties. I don't need to be sucked down a toilet to meet people."

Yuuri - *laughs* "Oooh... You think you're so funny..." *but really* "So you have a friend who likes this stuff...?"

Shori - "Yeah... I guess you could say that..." *sure... 'a friend'*

Yuuri - *grins at his vagueness* "I 'could say that'...? Are you implying that it's a bit more than just a friend...?"

Shori - *grumbles* "I never said that..." *keeps his eyes focused on the road/was still being vague on purpose/not many people knew about this person/he kept it a secret, mainly because he'd rather not deal with their Mom's reaction/he'd like to wait a little wile before the whole 'meet the parents' thing came into play*

Yuuri - *grins even wider at his grumbling/taking hit-or-miss shots on purpose, hoping that some of his guessing would actually be right/teasing* "Is it a girlfriend~?"

Shori - *feels his cheeks heat up just the slightest bit/oh no~! the accursed Shibuya man-blush!* "I never said that, either..."

Yuuri - "Boyfriend, then? I didn't know you swung that way!" *very amused/decides to be an annoying little brother* "You're blushing..." *grin grin*

Shori - "I don't swing that way! You're the flaming homo, not me!"

Yuuri - *holds up his hands in surrender* "Okay! Okay! Don't have a cow! I was just asking!" *pauses, still amused* "So a girlfriend, then? Does mom know?" *doubted that - she would have obsessed about it and probably would have told him right away*

Shori - *grumbles some more/wonders if telling Yuuri was just as bad as telling mom* "No, she doesn't know, and neither does dad. I'd like to put that off for a while, and spare myself the agony." *yeah, that was something he definitely didn't want to do yet/Mom would no doubt want to have her over for dinner, and then would gush and gawk and whip out all the old baby pictures/talk about embarrassing*

Yuuri - *yeah... he'd known just how mom would react to Shori's girlfriend... after all, look at how she's reacted to Wolfram/grinning at his brother* "What's her name~?"

Shori - *blushes just a little more/figures he may as well tell him, 'cause he didn't think the little twerp would drop it until he did* "Emma."

Yuuri - "Emma? Is she American...?" *really curious now* "Come on, don't hold back unless you want me to tell mom and dad! How did you meet her? What's she like?" *laughs/really, really amused* "Awww! My Sho-chan is growing up! Soo cute!" *definitely being annoying on purpose*

Shori - *why that annoying little twit/removes one of his hands from the wheel, whacking Yuuri lightly on the back of the head, though making sure he kept his eyes on what was in front of him/oh, come on, he wasn't this annoying about Wolfram, was he?!* "Don't you dare tell Mom and Dad!" *he wanted to do that himself, and then he'd delay the meeting until he could get Mom to promise not to do anything embarrassing - and he had the opportunity to hide the baby pictures and all the home videos - although he doubted Mom would actually keep to her promise* "Yes, she's an American. Her father works at Bob's branch in Boston. I met her when I was there on business."

Yuuri - *laughs again, trying to duck away from the whack* "Awww! Well, that explains the music! So how long have you been dating? Is she pretty? What color eyes? And hair? What was her birth weight?" *enjoying himself*

Shori - *rolls his eyes/answers him, but not because he wants to; because he knows Yuuri won't shut up until he does* "We've been seeing each other for about half a year now." *figures if he tells him enough, he won't have any more questions* "She's twenty-one, blonde, brown eyed, and five foot eight... and she has nice legs." *apparently Shori is a leg man* "She's a language major. She's over here studying at the university for a year, and then she'll be spending half a year in Paris, and half a year in Rome." *yay for traveling*

Yuuri - *clasps his hands together like his mother would do to fawn over her cute little son* "Aww~ That's so cute, Sho-chan! My big brother has a girlfriend! " *really enjoying himself* "You don't have a picture with you? What kind of boyfriend are you...?" *not that he had a picture of Wolfram -- ooh! that would be nice... he'd have to get some pictures of everyone taken or something... maybe the whole separation thing wouldn't have been so bad if he'd had a picture - or maybe that would have just made it worse...*

Shori - *grumbles* "I have a picture..." *of course he had a picture/he liked bragging to his friends, after all/uses the hand he'd whacked at Yuuri with to carefully dig his wallet out of his back pocket and toss it at him* "It's in there."

Yuuri - *takes the wallet and opens it up, easily finding the picture of his girlfriend/well fine... so he had a picture of his girlfriend... and she was rather pretty... - she didn't have anything on Wolfram, of course, but still...* "Aww... she's cute... but I've got just one more question for you..."

Shori - *rolls his eyes, snatching his wallet back form him* "What is it?" *frowns a little, chancing a quick glance at the picture for himself before putting it away*

Yuuri - *lets him take the wallet and the picture back - but he already had what he wanted to ask about/holds up his hand, flashing Shori a picture of the two of them when they were little - Yuuri even dressed up as a girl... dress and bows in his hair and everything/raises an eyebrow at him* "Please tell me that you don't show people this picture along with Emma's... it's kinda embarrassing..."

Shori - *blushes a little bit again/that little twerp/grabs at that picture as well* "Just because I gave you my wallet doesn't give you permission to snoop through it."

Yuuri - *holds it away from him, still wanting to get a good look at it for himself/finds all of this greatly entertaining* "Well, jeez, Shori... I love you, too..."

Shori - *rolls his eyes, but doesn't make any further moves to grab at it, not wanting to cause an accident or anything like that/not that they were moving very fast at the moment/stupid traffic* "You'd better keep your mouth shut about Emma."

Yuuri - *gasps in mock offense* "You actually think I would tell mom and dad something like that?"

Shori - "If it served your purposes well, yes."

Yuuri - *grins* "You know me well, dear brother." *heck yeah, black mail!*

Shori - *is beginning to think he probably shouldn't have told him after all/great.../now he was at his little brother's mercy... not that he hadn't been already/curse his brother complex!*

Yuuri - *rolls his eyes at Shori* "Relax... I won't tell them..." *yet.../passes the photo back to him/thought it was kinda sweet... in a creepy, obsessed older brother kinda way....*

Shori - *takes the picture back and puts it away/and, no, he didn't show that picture to just anybody/only Emma knew it was there - but only because she'd asked about his family and wanted to see pictures of his little brother/of course, she'd laughed when she'd seen that said little brother had been dressed up as a girl*

Yuuri - *yeah... thanks mom... all those years of being dressed up as a girl and he never seemed to be able to live it down/ugh.../glances over his shoulder at the car full of flower boxes/mumbles* "I hope they're enough..."

Shori - *glances at the flower boxes as well, through the rear view mirror* "Why wouldn't they be enough??" *he thought there were more than enough, but then he didn't really know exactly how big the wedding was supposed to be*

Yuuri - *rubs his head* "Well... I'm not really sure how they're going to use them in the decorations... and... yeah... I just hope they'll have enough to work with..." *yeah... it was pretty big...*

Shori - *he can only imagine* "Joy..." *ahh... sarcasm* "How many people are going to be there?"

Yuuri - "Uhhh... A lot...?"

Shori - "Define 'a lot.'"

Yuuri - "I think over three hundred..."

Shori - *cringes* "Ouch..." *that had to put a strain on his wallet... or on the national treasury or whatever/thinks he should be thankful that he can afford it* "And whose idea was this??"

Yuuri - *shrugs* "Uuuh... I actually didn't have much of a choice when it came to planning everything... it was pretty much done by the time... -" *pauses, frowning a bit* "Well... all I have to do is pick out the little things... the others have the rest of it covered..."

Shori - "So it was Wolfram's idea, then?" *well, if it wasn’t Yuuri's, then it had to be the brat's - at least, that's how his thought process went/gosh, that kid was going to end up costing Yuuri tons and tons of money, he was sure of it*

Yuuri - *shrugs* "I guess... it was either him or his mother..." *yeah... well... they could afford it... it wasn't like Yuuri went out and spent all his money all the time... heck, he'd rarely spent money on himself, anyway... he didn't really need or want anything, after all...*

Shori - "Great..." *which meant they were going to be surrounded by hundreds of people they didn't know, who would most likely stare and gawk at them for having black hair and eyes/swears to himself that he's going to have a small, private wedding if and when he ever gets married*

Yuuri - "You can say that again..." *would also have liked less attention from the rest of the country - hence why eloping looked so great - but if it would make people happy to see them at a traditional wedding, then whatever...*

Shori - "Well... you have fun with that..." *is now very, very glad Yuuri was getting married first/he could observe his wedding and pick out all the things he didn't like about it, and prepare himself for the future planning of his own/if he had it his way, his mom would have no say in it whatsoever*

Yuuri - *grumbles* "Thanks...." *whatever... it was just one more week... and then all the crap and stress will be over with...*

Shori - "You're welcome..." *sucker...*

Yuuri - *rolls his eyes/really... whatever... at least he was getting married... Shori just had a girlfriend... -- oh yeah... he and Wolf were going to be parents too... like... little baby parents... not Greta sized parents.../yeah... this was going to be fun... - and laced with panic*

Shori - *internally snickers/yeah, as much as he didn't think Yuuri and Wolfram were ready for a baby, he was going to enjoy watching Yuuri suffer through babyhood*

Yuuri - *yeah.... at least they'll have some help... -- though, he didn't think he would trust his kids to just anyone... maybe Gisela... and... possibly Gwendal, since he couldn't resist cute things.../not sure he'd want to let Celi near the baby...*

Shori - *awww~ this meant he was going to be an uncle!/not that he wasn't already an uncle, but there was something different about being an uncle to a baby than to a ten year old... well... fourteen year old/gosh, it had been a while since he'd last seen his adopted niece*

Yuuri - *yeah... babies.../at least Greta would be old enough to help them with the kid.../it was a baby, though! how hard could it be...??*

Shori - *tries to envision his baby brother taking care of a baby, and can't quite imagine it/it would definitely be weird/not that he can imagine Wolfram taking care of a baby either/really hopes the kid doesn't inherit the blond's temper*

Yuuri - *oh gosh... if their kid ended up with Wolfram's temper... he might not be able to handle it...*

Shori - *starts to feel bad for his brother/the poor thing/not like he could do anything about it, though/it was his fault... or... whatever/sighs to himself when they make it to a less busy part of the city, still heading out/gosh, it was taking forever to get home*

Yuuri - *yeah... his fault... great.../opens his mouth to try and make small talk with his brother, but doesn't really have anything to say/goes back to staring out the window/the tune playing was kinda catchy though...*

Shori - *also would like to have something to say, but it seems as if he's run out of topics of discussion/continues to drive, and starts thinking about his girlfriend/maybe the next time Yuuri came he'd introduce them or something/Emma really wanted to meet him, apparently, along with the rest of his family, though he'd warned her plenty of times that they were a little on the weird side*

Yuuri - *yeah... weird was a bit... mild/really hopes Wolfram is doing okay and that he wasn't getting harassed by Gunter or someone/feels kinda bad for leaving him to talk to the constantly arriving guests/really... what did they expect to do for two weeks?? just chill out?? sure, they might have had a long way to travel, but did that mean they had to leave so bloody early?? they could have timed it so everyone would show up at the same time, or something.../whatever...*

Shori - *starts humming a bit to the song on the radio, looking at his brother out of the corner of his eye every once in a while as he drove home* "Are you sure there isn't anywhere else you wanted to go? Otherwise, you'll be forced to eat Mom's cookies." *which, admittedly, were pretty good, but the way she tried to shove them down their throats was a little annoying*

Yuuri - *cringes at the thought of being forced to eat cookies - not that he minded... he actually liked his mom's cookies... but really... it wasn't as if they had to eat them all at once!* "I really can't think of anything... Bring on the cookies..." *which he hopefully won't end up choking on...*

Shori - *shrugs/whatever, then/drives them home*

Yuuri - *yay... driving home.../though... all the talk about babies and people going to the wedding had reminded him of something that... well... he couldn't exactly keep it from his family forever... - not if he was going to have to be the father of two newborns at the same time...*

Shori - *yay for driving and listening to weird American music!/finally makes his way out of the city, thankful for the decrease in the amount of cars on the road as they got closer to their section of town/some people really shouldn't be allowed to drive*

Yuuri - *fidgets a bit in his seat, trying to think of how to explain Iris to his family/though, he was fully with Wolfram on telling them - they didn't have to know everything... just that... well... he was going to have a baby with her.../glances a bit nervously at his brother/he would probably have a more exaggerated reaction than his parents about something like that... he should probably tell him about it first...*

Shori - *notices Yuuri's nervous glance out of the corner of his eye, because apparently Shori has awesome peripheral vision/immediately wonders if there's something wrong* "What is it?"

Yuuri - *shakes his head* "Nothing..." *not while he was driving at least!! he didn't want to die before at least getting married!!*

Shori - *rolls his eyes* "If there's something on your mind, you should come out and say it." *turns onto another street, slowing down a bit as he pulls up to their house*

Yuuri - *doesn't say anything - at least while the car was moving, but once Shori had it safely parked....* "Well... there's just... something you, Mom and Dad should know..." *fidgets again, still not too sure how to explain it in simple terms*

Shori - *turns his car off, but makes no move to get out, especially with Yuuri there fidgeting and obviously attempting to explain something/raises an eyebrow at him* "What?"

Yuuri - "Uhhh..." *well... maybe just saying it would make things easier* "Well... It's just that... when I take you guys back for the wedding... you'll probably meet a bunch of people..."

Shori - "Well, duh. Apparently there's going to be over three hundred people there." *so, then, it was obvious that they'd meet people, right? he didn't really see how they could avoid that*

Yuuri - "Yeah... well... One of the people you'll meet... one of them..." *lowers his voice to an almost whisper* "One of them is my mistress..."

Shori - *stares at him in confusion for a moment/doesn't think he'd heard him right* "... what...?" *he'd said it very quietly, so maybe he hadn't really said what he thought he did*

Yuuri - *nods/well, that was easier than he'd though* "Yup, and she's pregnant too. I'm suddenly in the mood for cookies, what are we sitting in the car for?" *quickly goes to open the door to make a run for it - though fumbles a bit with trying to get the blasted seatbelt off*

Shori - *quickly grabs onto his arm, pulling him back and not letting him leave/glares at him a little* "I don't think so. What the hell are you talking about?" *a mistress?? had he heard him right?/there was no way Yuuri would have something like that!*

Yuuri - *squeaks a little in panic as he's practically forced to stay in place/well, he could probably get away if he really wanted to... but... yeah.../stares down at his hands in his lap* "Well... yeah... I figured... since I could... why not get a mistress...? I mean... Wolfram is fine with it..." *well... not really... but he can't really do anything about it...*

Shori - "Bull!" * he knew a lie when he heard one, and that was most definitely one of the biggest lies he'd ever heard/his sweet, innocent, overly squeamish prude of a little brother had a mistress?!* "Since when?!" *he'd never heard anything about it before, nor could he really picture Yuuri taking advantage of his power and authority as king and doing something like that/it wasn't in his character/and she was pregnant, too?!* "What the hell do you need a mistress for?!" *couldn't believe him, nor could he believe Wolfram was fine with it/that was an even bigger lie, he was completely sure of that/narrows his eyes at him* "Did you cheat on Wolfram? Does he know?" *yeah, fat chance of Yuuri doing something like that, but he thought it was at least a little more believable than Yuuri suddenly deciding 'hey, I think I want to have sex with someone other than my fiancé who I love dearly and spoil rotten. Why don't I get myself a mistress?'/really... come on... that was impossible/if it had been an accident, then it could be a little more believable, but this crap he was trying to spout off was most definitely not*

Yuuri - *cringes away from his brother just a bit/really glad he'd decided to tell him first without the parentals present* "Since... less than a month ago...? And... I mean... it's not uncommon for the king to have a mistress or two..." *winces again at the mention of Wolfram and 'cheating'/quickly shakes his head, staring at his brother with wide eyes* "No! I would never cheat on him!- I-I mean... well, I guess I did... but... uhh... that's not..." *oh crap...* "He knows about it... and... he's... fine with it..." *knows he's repeating the same things*

Shori - "Bullshit!!" *finds it difficult to believe that Wolfram would ever agree to something like that/glares at him some more* "Don't lie to me, Yuu-chan! What the hell is going on?!"

Yuuri - *ducks a bit/his brother was kinda scary when he was yelling like that.... especially when there was something he didn't want him to find out* "There's nothing going on... I just wanted you to know that you'll probably end up meeting my mistress while you're there for the wedding... her name's Iris... yeah... just so you didn't find out from someone else, first..." *awkward, much...?*

Shori - *gapes at him/he was serious?!* "What the hell?!?!" *ahhh... repetition/but can you really blame him??/to say he was shocked was a major understatement/thinks carefully about what Yuuri had been telling him, and the more he does, the more he's convinced that he's at least half way lying* "Wolfram's two months pregnant, which obviously means the two of you have been having sex - or did at least once - and you just suddenly had a whim to go off and sleep with someone else?!?!" *where was the logic in that???*

Yuuri - *fiddles with the sleeve of his coat, picking off the loose pieces of fuzz* "I suppose..." *what else was he supposed to tell him...?/waaah... his brother was yelling at him!*

Shori - "Why?! Why would you want to sleep with her?! Are you attracted to her?!" *can't help but yell/this was... surprising... and it was difficult to make sense of it/it was like everything he'd ever thought about his sweet, innocent, uber adorable little brother had just been proven completely wrong*

Yuuri - *shakes his head, finding it rather hard to just lie to his brother* "No... I'm not attracted to her... I mean... she's pretty..." *sighs, still playing with the coat* "It's more for... political reasons... I guess..."

Shori - "Political reasons?!" *what the hell kind of crap was that?!*

Yuuri - *nods* "Yeah... more like... keeping the spotlight off of Wolf... It's so I can protect him...."

Shori - "What, because he's pregnant?! So you figure getting some other person pregnant will keep everyone from finding out?!" *that was one of the stupidest things he'd ever heard, though he wasn't exactly up to date on everything concerning the other world, so he supposed his opinion didn't matter very much* "You know, a simpler solution to your problem would have been to just not have sex at all!!" *he was too young, anyway.../yeah...*

Yuuri - *grumbles under his breath about not having wanted to get her pregnant in the first place... much less sleep with her.../sighs* "Whatever..."

Shori - "Don't 'whatever' me!" *yeah, do what big brother says/big brother knows all!/big brother knows what's best for you!* "This is freakin' ridiculous!!" *would really like to bash his head against something at the moment, but holds himself back* "You see, this is what I mean about you being too young. You do stupid things, and then try to cover up your mistakes with more stupid things!!"

Yuuri - "It wasn't supposed to happen, okay?? I was never planning on having to get so screwed up with all this crap!" *finally snaps, though quickly tries to control himself, knowing getting worked up will only cause more problems/lifts a hand to rub at his face* "I didn't have a choice, okay...?"

Shori - "Oh, please. That's bullshit, too! How could you have slept with her without having a choice? You could have covered up Wolfram's pregnancy another way."

Yuuri - *turns to frown sadly at his brother, but keeping his mouth shut/if only he knew*

Shori - *this was complete and utter crap! he couldn't believe he was hearing this!* "Alright! So you have a mistress! Fine! I don't care!" *grows very sarcastic, mocking Yuuri* "How did you meet her? What's she like? What color eyes? And hair?"

Yuuri - *goes back to staring at his hands/obviously upset about it* "Don't, Shori... please..."

Shori - "Why not?! I think I have the right to know! I'm going to be meeting her, aren't I?! So, tell me, what's she like?! What is it about her that made you decide, 'Yeah, that's the girl I'm going to cheat on my fiancé with.'" *can't believe his little brother would ever do something like that, especially after seeing how much he cared about Wolfram* "And then you try to justify the fact that you cheated by telling yourself you did it to protect Wolfram?!" *ha! he doubted it was that simple to explain*

Yuuri - *very quietly, trying to just go with the minor details so he wouldn't have to remember too much of what happened* "It's not like that... I... I had to sleep with her or they'd.... she would have died..." *really hated being labeled a cheater, though he guesses that's pretty much what it was*

Shori - *sputters/if that wasn't the dumbest thing he'd ever heard, he didn't know what was* "She would have died?! How?! Explain it to me, Yuu-chan, because right now this isn't making any sense at all!"

Yuuri - *shakes his head, really not wanting to tell his brother everything if he could get away with it* "They would have killed her, Shori... it was either watching her die, or sleep with her to save her and her baby's life... or rather... they had told me she was already pregnant... but apparently she wasn't..."

Shori - "Who the hell is 'they'?!"

Yuuri - "The bandits that had kidnapped her..." *and himself... but... that was minor details...*

Shori - "And how the hell could they make you do something like that?!" *what the crap! he had absolutely no idea what he was talking about! he wasn't making any sense at all!/really hoped Yuuri wasn't deluding himself into believing this crap in order to ease his guilt, because then there was something seriously wrong with him*

Yuuri - *finding this really difficult while forcing himself not to think about... certain things* "Because... I was their hostage too... I had no other choice..."

Shori - *pauses in his shouting to stare at him for a moment* "You what?!" *since when had Yuuri been held hostage?!*

Yuuri - *sighs* "I was kidnapped too... It's not like it hasn't happened before..."

Shori - "You were kidnapped?!" *doesn't care if it had happened before or not/his friends should have made sure it never happened again* "Where the hell was Conrad?!?!" *Conrad was supposed to be looking out for him! Conrad had promised to protect him!*

Yuuri - "Er..." *twiddles his thumbs a bit* "He was... uh... well, you see... Wolf and I had tried to elope... and... we were heading back to the castle when... stuff happened... Conrad was looking for us and we were heading to meet him..."

Shori - *growls/what the hell?!/really doesn't know what to make of all of this/and now he really wishes he had been there/boy, if he could get his hands on those bandits.../forces himself not to sound angry at his brother/it wasn't his fault/he hadn't wanted to get kidnapped/it hadn't been his choice/it was Conrad's fault/stupid Conrad.../and Wolfram - Wolfram should have protected him, too/that stupid, whiny little brat...* "Are you alright?"

Yuuri - *stares at him, a little startled by the question* "Uh... y-yeah... I'm fine..."

Shori - "Nothing else happened? They just... forced you to sleep with her? They didn't hurt you or..." *yeah... because if they had... he was totally going to hunt them down and wring each of their necks*

Yuuri - *winces a little, feeling a bit uncomfortable* "No... I mean... yeah... I..." *shakes his head, shifting around a bit in his seat as if that would keep him distracted enough*

Shori - *narrows his eyes at him a little again/wonders if he's hiding more* "'Yes' or 'no?'"

Yuuri - *refuses to look at him* "What was the question...?"

Shori - *says it slowly, so he wouldn't forget it again* "Did they hurt you?"

Yuuri - *swallows, still finding it difficult to flat out lie to his brother/slowly nods before mumbling* "But... I'm fine now... nothing to worry about..."

Shori - *his glare grows darker/yeah, he was totally going to kill them if he found them* "What did they do?"

Yuuri - *forces himself to shrug, ignoring the way his heartbeat started to quicken and his breathing get a bit more labored* "Nothing much... I mean... they didn't kill me..." *well, duh...*

Shori - *wasn't going to just let it go at that/sure, they hadn't killed him, but if they'd hurt him he wanted to know about it* "Tell me." *determined*

Yuuri - *shakes his head again, a bit more desperately* "I'm fine, Shori... Don't worry about it..."

Shori - "Tell me!"

Yuuri - *continues to shake his head, holding his hands tightly in his lap as he felt them start to shake as his breathing started to get a bit more irregular/should have seen this bit coming... Shori was rather stubborn about things, himself...*

Shori - *crosses his arms and glares at him/wasn't going to drop the conversation until he knew everything/warningly* "Yuu-chan..."

Yuuri - *still shaking his head/wishes his heart would stop pounding so harshly/would really, really like to be with Wolfram just about now.../mumbles* "I... I can't... I can't..."

Shori - "Why not?" *what the hell had they done to him??*

Yuuri - *takes a deep breath, trying to get himself to calm down* "It's... it's just..." *lets out a pathetic whimper, really not wanting to do this, but it was better than having to tell him everything/pushes the edge of the unbuttoned coat away, shifting around some so he could lift up his shirt just enough for his brother to see only the stab wound and maybe just a small bit of his back/repeats himself, still trying to stay calm* "I'm fine..."

Shori - *glances at the stab wound, and, indeed, does see a small bit of his back/once he's inspected the wound, he stares at his back oddly, thinking the small portion he was being shown looked strangely discolored... if it could be called that/forces Yuuri's hand away and lifts both his shirt and coat, enough to see more, and easily notices all of the scars/eyes widen* "What the hell is this?!"

Yuuri - *cringes, trying to move away some in reaction to someone - even though it was just his brother - getting too close to his back/feels his breathing get even more labored, coming close to the point of hyperventilation/flushes brightly, still feeling absolutely pathetic for letting something like that happen to him/tries to shrug away from his brother after a moment, not sure he really wanted him to get a very good look at any part of his back* "It's nothing... just... stuff happens..."

Shori - "'Stuff happens?!'" *that's all he had to say about it?!/thinks it's rather obvious exactly what had happened to him/quickly lowers Yuuri's shirt and jacket, unable to look at it for very long without feeling a little ill* "What kind of sick, demented freaks were these people?!"

Yuuri - *shakes his head again, ignoring the tears starting to fill his eyes as he's practically forced to remember things he would rather not remember/dammit... he was such a pathetic baby...* "It's fine... it was taken care of..." *more or less...*

Shori - *oh, it had better been 'taken care of,' or he sure as hell was going to 'take care of' it himself!/can tell this is upsetting Yuuri, and feels a little bad for that, but he'd really needed to know/he didn't like when his little brother kept secrets from him, just as he didn't like not being able to protect him when he needed him/forces himself to take a deep breath and calm down at least a little* "Are you alright??" *didn't think he was, but he felt as if he had to ask anyway*

Yuuri - *nods once, lifting a shaky hand to rub at his eyes* "I'm fine..." *just like he'd been saying.../takes a few deep breaths, trying to get his heart rate back down*

Shori - *stares at him some more/knows he's lying, but doesn't call him on it/it was obvious that he didn't want to talk about it, and Shori wasn't about to make him any longer/he'd seen and heard enough/he didn't need to hear anymore*

Yuuri - *mumbles through his hand, pausing as he rubbed his face to distract himself* "I'm sorry..."

Shori - *tries to sound calming and soothing instead of angry* "It's not your fault. Don't worry about it."

Yuuri - *shakes his head again* "I just... Not a lot of people know... the whole story... much less about..." *trails off, shrugging a little to make it clear that he was talking about his back/still didn't like to admit that something had actually happened to him* "I'm sorry for making you worry about me... but I'm fine... really..."

Shori - *still doesn't really believe that he's fine, especially if he didn't want to talk about it at all, but he doesn't push him/he can tell when Yuuri's reached his limit* "It's okay..." *not really, but, hey, if it reassured him, then he'd say it/thinks he's seriously going to have a talk with stupid Conrad about how he should have protected him better... and then punch him for letting something like this happen*

Yuuri - *falls silent, not really knowing what else to say/mumbles after a small while* "I don't want mom and dad to know about... that stuff... Just about Iris and the baby..."

Shori - *nods/yeah, that would probably be best* "Okay... I won't tell them..." *he didn't really know how they'd react to the idea of Yuuri having a mistress, but he knew it would be better than telling them that he'd been kidnapped and whipped*

Yuuri - *nods as well* "And I won't tell them about Emma..." *that seemed fair enough exchange/so much for having blackmail against his brother*

Shori - *snorts/he'd rather Yuuri tell them about Emma than show them his back and worry them about what had happened to him/he doesn't say that, though/it seemed apparent that Yuuri didn't want to discuss it anymore* "Fair enough..."

Yuuri - *nods again, still trying to get himself to calm down enough to be presentable to his parents/didn't really like how his hands kept shaking* "I guess... I'll start unloading the car... huh...?" *makes no movement to do any such thing, though*

Shori - "I'll help you..." *doesn't move to do it just yet, either/wants to make sure Yuuri really is okay before he does anything else*

Yuuri - *nods yet again, taking a few more deep breaths before finally figuring that was as good as he was going to get/leans down to start gathering up the boxes at his feet before pushing the door open to finally get out*

Shori - *watches after Yuuri for a second, before shaking his head and undoing his seatbelt/gets out as well, shutting his door and moving to take some of the boxes out of the back*

Yuuri - *slowly carries the boxes up to the front door, pausing just for a moment before opening it and calling in* "We're back!" *frowns at how his voice cracked just a bit at the end*

Shori - *follows him inside, watching him carefully still/frowns a little as well at the way his voice cracked/wished there was something he could do to make him feel better*

Shoma - *is back to sitting on the couch, flipping through the channels on the television again to find something manly/ends up keeping it on some cooking show, hoping his wife would see it and take a few pointers from it/smiles at his sons when he sees them* "That took a little longer that I expected it would."

Shori - *shrugs, setting the boxes down* "Traffic." *turns to go back out and get some more of the flowers*

Yuuri - *places the boxes down as well, though doesn't really say anything/goes back out to bring in more boxes*

Shori - *gets the last few out of the back, before opening the trunk and starting on the ones in there as well/gets himself a nice stack, then heads back into the house, hardly able to see where he was going*

Yuuri - *rolls his eyes at his brother* "Careful not to slip and kill the flowers..." *or hurt himself... but that was implied.../grabs a bunch of boxes to carry in, himself*

Shori - *a little sarcastic* "Sure thing..." *sets his newest stack of boxes down once he's entered*

Shoma - *eyes the boxes carefully* "Jeez, how many are there??"

Yuuri - *lets out a small laugh, dropping off yet another stack* "A lot..."

Miko - *peeking curiously out of the kitchen/apparently, she was still making food*

Shoma - *is suddenly really glad he's not the one paying for the wedding*

Shori - *goes back out to get even more boxes, closing the trunk when he sees that it's empty, bringing them in and setting them down as well*

Yuuri - *carries in the rest of the boxes/mumbles* "Thanks..." *then takes off his shoes and coat, self-consciously readjusting his shirt and making sure it's pulled down all the way before heading out to the living room*

Miko - *prances out of the kitchen, brandishing cookies at both of her sons/smiling brightly* "Now that you're back, you can try some of Mama's cookies!" *yay~*

Shori - *stops himself from rolling his eyes, though he'd really like to/takes a cookie and starts to eat it as he removes his jacket and shoes, if only to make her shut up*

Shoma - *winces a bit as he sees the cookies/hopes she doesn't try to get him to eat anymore/he's had enough cookies to last him a week... maybe longer...*

Yuuri - *ahahaha... cookies.../takes one from her to munch on, heading out to the living room/eyes the TV, remembering what he was going to do once he got home* "Oh! Hey, dad... Could you record the ball games for me when the season starts up again, please??" *puts on his best smile, despite not being fully recovered from his little episode in the car*

Shoma - "Uhh... sure... yeah, that's fine..." *that'd be a lot of games he had to record, but they had handy-dandy technology to help with that, so it wouldn't be too bad/smiles at his youngest/the poor thing must miss watching the games terribly*

Yuuri - *heck yeah, he missed watching the games! it wasn't like he had any friends on Earth, after all.../wow... how sad is that...?/okay, maybe he had a few friends... but no close friends who really care that he's literally dropped off the face of the planet for who knows how long at a time!/grins wider* "Thanks dad!" *what? he loved watching games/shouts over his shoulder to the kitchen where he assumes his mom headed off to* "Great cookies, mom!" *see? at least he was trying to act like he normally did around his family! nothing to worry about!/mentally kicks himself for being such a baby*

Miko - *indeed in the kitchen/pokes her head out to give her son a thumb's up* "'Mama' Yuu-chan!" *disappears again, probably to go get more cookies for them*

Shori - *swallows the remainder of his cookie, then plops down on the couch, taking a moment to rest for a bit before doing anything else*

Shoma - *goes back to staring at the television screen, really hoping his wife would watch this/the dish they were making looked so good/like... really...*

Yuuri - *fidgets a bit in place, not really knowing what to do, or how to break the ice about the whole... Iris thing.../eventually goes to sit on the couch next to Shori to fidget a bit more*

Miko - *does come back with more cookies, and hot chocolate - yay! - for her three boys, passing them out to them before sitting on the couch next to her youngest/absorbing the fact that her family was all in the same room before turning her attention to the television, curious about what was being made*

Shoma - *yes! she was looking at the television! score!/takes one of the mugs of hot chocolate and sips at it happily/he even goes so far as to take another cookie*

Shori - *watches Yuuri fidget out of the corner of his eye, and thinks he has a pretty good idea what's causing it/would help him if he could, but he really has no idea how to broach the subject either/he'd only been told, after all/it was still sinking it*

Yuuri - *watches the tv with the others for a bit before finally taking a deep breath/might as well get it over with* "S-so... I've already made sure your rooms are all set and ready for your stay in the castle... The maids did a great job, I really hope you'll like them." *pansies out at the last second and obviously changes what he was going to say*

Miko - *giggles excitedly about the word 'castle'* "I can't wait, Yuu-chan! And I bet my dress is gorgeous too, isn't it?" *fangirls for a moment before sighing dreamily* "I can't believe my little Yuu-chan is actually getting married! It's so exciting!"

Shori - *exciting for her maybe/he still didn't want him to get married, but if it made him happy then whatever/he'd go along with it, but he didn't have to like it*

Shoma - *is also very happy for his son, and he continues to smile at him - even if he is a little disappointed that Miko had stopped watching the television/oh well, they would soon be going to the other world, after all/he was sure there'd be tons of delicious food there*

Yuuri - *laughs a bit nervously, still trying to figure out how to bring up the topic of Iris/opens his mouth, but stop, sinking back into the couch to fidget some more/this was a bit more difficult than with Shori, for some reason.../ends up sipping on his hot chocolate to make it look like he wasn't having an internal debate with himself*

Miko - *sips at her hot chocolate as well/in the silence she goes back to looking at what was on the television/interesting... carrots... she'd never have thought of putting that with those other foods... hmm...*

Shoma - *thank you, thank you!/that's right, honey, stare at the television/absorb the words into your brain*

Shori - *frowns a bit, wonders if he should say something to help Yuuri out, but he still can't really think of anything, and he wasn't about to just come out and say it himself/it was Yuuri's business, and it should come from him/still, he lifts a hand to ruffle his hair in reassurance*

Yuuri - *glances over at his brother with a small, nervous smile before dropping his eyes down to the mug he was fiddling with in his hands/takes another deep breath - it had to be easier than this....* "Mom...? Dad...? There's something you guys should know before... before I take you to the other world..." *well... no turning back now...*

Miko - *pauses in sipping her coco to give her son her attention/wonders what it could possibly be to cause him to have an expression like that*

Shoma - *also pauses in sipping his cocoa, swallowing the rest of his most recent cookie/raises an eyebrow, waiting for Yuuri to continue*

Shori - *sits there silently*

Yuuri - *yeah... uhh.../glances up to make sure they were both paying attention so he would only have to say it once...* "Well... when you go there... well... you're going to meet a girl named Iris..." *pauses, working up the curage to continue* "She's... well... she's my mistress... and... she's pregnant with my child too..." *has to try really hard not to trail off before finishing, and luckily only manages to lower his voice to just above a whisper*

Miko - *stares at him for a moment, as if taking in everything he was saying/suddenly squeals* "Two babies at once?? That's almost like having twins, Yuu-chan!"

Shoma- *yeah... something like that/stares at Yuuri in silence, letting the information sink into his head/Yuuri had a mistress... which would imply that he... wow... that's... impressive/his little Yuu-chan??/talk about a surprising turn of events/he'd always thought Shori would be more of a lady's man than Yuuri/wow.../awww~ his little Yuu-chan was a man now!/and there was going to be two babies! talk about passing on the Shibuya blood!!/smiles a little wider at him, proud of his little Yuu-chan*

Shori - *watches their reactions with something akin to amusement/well... that hadn't been so bad... not that he'd thought it would be/their parents were pretty weird, after all*

Yuuri - *stares at them in disbelief for a moment before flushing red and burying his face in his hands/what the heck?? why were his parents so weird?? it shouldn't be that easy for them to just accept something like that! didn't they want to know why he cheated on Wolfram? or... anything else??/well... he hadn't wanted them to ask those kinds of questions, anyway... but it was just... well.. he didn't know what to expect*

Miko - *smiles widely, trying to picture all the cute little baby things they were going to have to get/places a hand on her cheek, sighing dreamily* "I can't believe it! My little Yuu-chan is going to make such a good daddy!" *she was much too young to be a grandmother! - yes, she always thinks that along with Wolfram's baby, and now this new baby*

Shoma - *not only would he make a wonderful daddy, but he made all generations of Shibuya men out there proud/two baby's at one time from two different mothers?? well... he knew there should probably be something wrong with that scenario, but he chose to focus on the bright side of things/double the babies meant double the love, and double the love meant double the happiness!*

Shori - *pats Yuuri's back comfortingly, unable to hide a small smirk*

Yuuri - *glances wearily up at his brother/did this mean the two of them would turn out as weird as their parents when they were older...??/mumbles* "Well... thanks... Uhh... if you guys are ready... we can head over to the other world any time...." *that's right, change the subject before more questions are asked...*

Miko - *practically jumps up out of her seat as if she was waiting for that as a cue and hurries off to the kitchen for a few moments before coming back out with a huge box filled with cookies and other food - yes, especially her world famous -... er... well, her curry...* "Ready!"
