Jess sent me an e-mail telling me about all of the stuff that will need to be dealt with when I move out/they move away. I'm really not sure if I can do this without their help. This is most of her list from the e-mail she sent me today:
"-- Health insurance (Verizon stuff will be available until 1-1-2009 -- you'll need to be prepared for then) **
-- Health expenses (copays, prescription costs, OTC medicines, etc.) **
-- Dental expenses **
-- Auto insurance ** depends on the address where it is garaged -- if you're here and we're there, it may have to be in your name
-- Auto expenses **
-- Auto at all -- if this one dies, do you realistically think we should provide you with another?
-- Cell phone -- if we're cutting the umbilical cord, is it fair for us to pay this?
-- Basic living expenses (housing or rent, utilities, etc.)
-- Clothing
-- Food
-- Pet supplies ##
-- Pottery supplies
-- Transportation expenses, especially if you're based in Luray and going back and forth to visit Chris & etc.
-- Basic furniture, mattresses, etc.
-- Bed linens, towels, kitchen utensils and such -- yes, you / we have plenty now, but things wear out eventually
-- Small stuff that adds up, like Christmas presents, movies, trips to pinball shows, etc.
-- One-time or once-a-year expenses like AAA membership and veterinary check-ups ##
-- Your own future - do you have a plan to save some of your work income? For splurges, emergencies, investment, retirement?
-- Your dad's credit card for emergencies - how long are you anticipating him to provide that? 1 year? 5? 10? "
Yeah, I can move in with them, but thats two hours away from what I consider home. Two hours away from my friends, the job I like, my hometown (Northern Va/ DC)and Chris. I want to be able to stay up here. But I'm so scared that I won't be able to. I'm so tired but I can't sleep. I'm really freaking out about this. I hate money (and my constant lack of it) so much!
