MUSIC! Which you NEEEEED!!!!
Omg, I definitely just spent two hours downloading music from Cowboy Bebop. I totally remember being in Highschool and, when I couldn't sleep, turning on cartoon network and watching the show and thinking how awesome the music was...but DUDE... this is incredible stuff!!!! It ranges from old school ballads, to jazz jams, to country blues, to modern synth jazz...its so fabulous!
Here are a few of my favs so far:
Tank!- The opening theme song... its like a running start for any night! You like the Chips Ahoy! Song...this is for YOU!
Rush- the original endtheme... again, its just jazzy wonderful stuff!!
Space Lion- God, I just can't even describe this one. Its almost like 80's jazz...it just kind of drifts and wanders from where you are and then takes you somewhere else. It's so cool I can't handle it.
Adieu- Just a gorgeous, long, classic jazz ballad.
Stella by Moor- sparkly shiny twinkly jazz that makes me think of the Nutcracker and 3am in the city.
Memory- more SPARKLES!!! God, I just want to play this everytime I'm out walking at night! Its so romantic and yet...sad...but still sweet...and hopeful?
Mushroom Hunting- Too cool for words. The guitar part is so awesome and I love the lady's voice.
Car 24- its like... something from Bewitched...or an old Musical... or the 30's...I... I can't even describe it. Its just happy...like you just got off work for the weekend and everything is going your way.
3.14- I haven't seen the Cowboy Bebop Movie, but I think Ed, the adorable androgynous genius computer hacker, sings this...and yes she lists pi at the end of the song and talks about circles, triangles, and squares...she's funny like that. Its so cute and random and it makes me melt into a puddle of goo cause I can totally imagine a little kid playing in a corner singing this!!!
Goodnight Julia- Sappy, Romantic, SAXAPHONE...guuuuuh. What more could you want? Oh? A rolling, moody piano? Yea, its got that too.
