Hmm....

Been gone for 3.5 months. Didn't realize it had been that long. Universe was overwhelming me and I just sort of disappeared it would seem. Some would say still haven't reappeared yet, but it's a start.

Haven't been fired. Mornings still suck and don't generally exist for me unless they are continuations of the prior day. Still waiting to be asked to leave at any point in time, nothing new there though. Managed to convince senior management to spend a large sum on completely new architecture that we haven't used anywhere before. If it has problems I probably will be asked to leave.

Been haphazardly dealing with mom's stuff, avoiding / ignoring it the rest of the time. Very easy to do when I already had difficulty with working too much.

Joined the iPhone crowd a week and a half ago as a test. Got it working perfectly on T-Mobile and I'm very, very impressed with the auto-sync bits. Mobile Me now keeps my address book and home calendars in sync across multiple machines and the phone, transparently. MS Exchange integrated seamlessly and is a separate calendar and contact group on the phone so my home and work info don't pollute each other. Absolutely fantastic and about damn time. Not wowed by its usability as a phone but it's acceptable. Based on my experience so far I'm quite likely to keep it and simply cancel the AT&T service and pay the contract penalty in a month.

Saw the endocrinologist a few weeks ago. He told me to eat more salt; not something you typically hear from your doctor. Seems my blood pressure is on the low end of normal and it drops (90/60 I think he said) when rising from from a crouching or seated position, causing vertigo symptoms for several seconds. Weight currently at roughly 175, give or take a few pounds.

So, that pretty much sums things up for now I think.
