Back fom the brink!

First things first, sisters doing ok. She got through the surgery but lost a huge amount of blood. There was a lot of bleeding from the tumors and they had her open for a very long time. There was no need to remove any bowel or diaphragm which they thought would need to be done but they weren't able to take it all out. There is still a size-able tumor under her heart they couldn't reach. It hasn't grown at all in the past 2 months so they are hoping chemo will take it. There's also some growth on her lower bowel but removing it would mean she would have to wear a colostomy bag. Not fun for a girl who just turned 26 last month and has not lost the ability to have children. The chemo should at least get rid of most of it so removal shouldn't be as traumatic. The good thing is her fiance is a pretty amazing guy. He spent almost 18 hours a day at the hospital with her and his parents came every day for most of the day to spend time her. She had no shortage of guests, lil miss popular. She has a pretty massive scar now, needed 47 staples to close her up! The nursing staff there is also great so she has great care.

Got to finally meet the nephew too. Soooooo adorable! Looks a lot like me as a kid. ;) Hyper lil guy and pretty big for only four! Was kinda strange to hear somebody call ME Uncle Ron! (My fathers brother is Ron, I'm named after him)

He was a little shy at first but that didn't last long. Looking forward to seeing him again.

Was great seeing Jaime too. She's SUCH a mother now! We went shopping for some clothes for me and it was all like, yep, I like that, you'll take it, hmm, that will look good with that, go try it on, yep, I like that... grabbing things off the shelf will I watched. Last time I checked I was the older brother. ;) Good thing she has decent taste. lol I stayed at her place the entire time and got a chance to re-bond with her and her husband, also a great guy. Gotta say this generation of girls did a hell of a lot better then last!

Then there's "mother"... Forget Forest, I deserve an Oscar for not acting with anything but contempt for her! Apparently shes on the verge of a breakdown from all the stress etc. Not a great time to have it out with her... Also on the morning after my sisters surgery, Diane's ("mother") best friends husband died. Gotta say, definitley wasn't borning! She spent nights at the hospital with my sister so didn't have to see too much of her but uncomfortable and akward would be an understatement! Had to keep thinking sister doesn't need the stress of worrying about how we're going to get a long. My face still hurts from the fake grin.

I also brought my scanner with me and scanned copies of my sisters wedding, Kyles baby pictures and my Melissa. Did I mention a ton of my baby pics. ;) Take a peak after the cut if you wanna see.

Me, Jaime and a cousin... Nice hair ;)

The "twins". I still have that sock somewhere...

Me, Jaime and Melissa, xmas was just about our only happy time. Mommy dearest liked to buy our forgiveness

Forget childrens services, where the hell are the fashion police!

Melissa in Jamies doll carriage ;)

I was always soo gay...

Steven, Melissas father. The sick fuck who beat and tortured us as kids. He's dead now!

Me, Melissa, Diane, Jaime. The first person who says I look like my "mother" get smacked, Rob! lol

On a slightly different note, saw Dreamgirls on the plane. Damn, I see why Jenny got the Oscar nom! Shes great in it! How can you not love a girl who calls Beyonce a skinny ass bitch and COMMON! You go girl! lol
