Why, hello, LiveJournal. It has been a while. I... have a confession to make. I've been using another web site to stay in touch with my friends.
Yes... of course. I knew you had probably figured something out. All those nights spent over at FaceBook's house, 'working on projects'... Well, no, of course I don't think you're stupid, I just--
Now, that is just uncalled for! I mean, a lot of the people I've friended on FaceBook don't even have LiveJournal! Now buck up, and stop being such a baby about this. I am a grown-ass woman, and I can have more than one website-thingy if I so choose. I still visit you every day, don't I? Can't we just live with things as they are? I think you always knew that I needed more than you could give me. I think we both knew.
So let's just put all that unpleasantness behind us and try to move on, shall we?
I hope everyone had a good New Year! I went to a small get-together at Dan's, which made me happy because otherwise I would have been all alone. Instead, we watched a lot of the Whitest Kids 'U Know, which I love (except for the 'U in their name). That champagne was the best I can recall having, and then I drank some of my orange vodka and energy drink stuff, and a good time was had.
I still miss John. He's out in California, learning his fancy new job, and won't be back in forever.
And I hate trying to get out of snow-filled parking lots. Kelly saved my butt with her tiny orange shovel. <3
So I guess now would be the time to expound upon resolutions, yes?
I guess I have several, though who knows how well I'll actually follow through on them.
-Lose weight. Always something I say I'll do, and it always ends up coming back. I suppose I could try to limit myself to 1500 or so calories a day, as recorded on a super-secret FaceBook application.
-Cook more meals at home. All those cookbooks shouldn't just sit around... Plus, it might help me lose weight, and certainly would save money.
-Floss more. Important for oral and heart health. And something I've never done as much as I should. I also haven't been in to see the dentist for years.... eek!
-Learn more about grammar and correct usage of the English language. It's fun, and I think that I should know more about it, especially since I was an English major and may go on to teach English if I get into the JET Program. I don't really remember doing anything like diagramming sentences or actually being taught the rules of English. My memory could just be bad, but it seems to me that I've had to pick up my knowledge in a haphazard fashion from reading and what 'sounds right.'
-No more drunken wrasslin'. The only way I can win is if I go against someone half my size. And then I feel like a big fat bully.
That's all I've thought up so far.
