Hawaii was fun (SO many Asians... and like all of the young ones I met were from California [?!]). It's really cold over here, guys...
I mostly hung out with Ewic, Thomas, Matt, Dorian, and Elise. I went shopping with Sarah one night, and walked along the beach with Maya, Melina, and a few of those mentioned above. I spent one evening in Ewic's room, with him, Jimi, and Ryan who was asleep. I drew a peace sign on his arm, along with a badly scribbled HEY RYAN -FROM BETTY and OWNED in big letters. Elias came in at one point, and we laughed a lot... and interestingly enough, none of them were stoned (neither was I, but I'm assuming you took that as a given considering how ridiculously straight-edge I am... *sigh*).
As you can tell, I tolerated a lot of people. This... is a huge accomplishment for me. The only person I really wanted to murder on the trip was Charlie Timmer... but that's old news.
Lace, I bought you some pretty birthday presents, and bought everyone else cheapass bracelets because I was afraid I'd run out of money like I did in Chicago. I bought Levi very very very belated birthday presents (two rings, one matching the one I bought for myself and a fake one to replace the real one that mysteriously vanished), coffee coated macademias for my mom (who's like... addicted to them and so very sad that they're almost all gone), and a Hawaiian Language pocket guide thing for my dad. Yay pwesents.
I left my cell phone charger in the hotel room.
That's it for Hawaii news, I'll fill in details to whoever wants them in person.
They put a speed bump at the end of my street, right where you turn left to leave the neighborhood. That's going to be annoying as hell. The only plus side is there won't be anymore agonizingly loud screeching from people peeling out. Meh. Not really a fair trade, I usually coast along that long stretch of road, and now I'll have to start breaking really early to prepare for the awkward bump at the turn. Woe is me. Please pick up the sarcasm.
The admissions to the Stanford internship I applied for are supposed to be posted by now, but they postponed it for either today or tomorrow. I keep refreshing the page, knowing that it's ridiculously unlikely that someone posted the results in the minute and a half that I didn't reload the page but... man, I'm nervous. I really want that internship.
We're in the 90's in our history book now, which is a definite sign that augh May is approaching and hell week I mean AP week is coming up. GOD Reaganomics are boring.
