Isn't courvidae the name for the corvid family? All Latin like?

This is indeed true--although it's spelled wrong (purposefully, since apparently someone else just simply had to have the name 'corvidae'). By 'glowing fish' are you referring to a bioluminescent species found in the mid-water zone of the ocean...? Or is it just a glowing fish, and we'll leave it at that?

It actually comes from pranks my sister used to do to UPS, where she would call them up and ask, in a fakish Asian accent, whether they "ship the glowing fish".
