Mini Soap Box Rant

Nov 13, 2008 18:29

I apologize for the forthcoming mini soap box rant.

I usually do not express my viewpoints yet I wanted to say what I was feeling, conveying my emotions through words.

Three times out of ten, when someone finds out that I am bisexual they tell me this:

"When are you going to choose? Male or female, you have to make a decision, not both.  Bisexuals do not exist, they are labels for people who are confused and need to decide their preference."

Yes, I choose.

It's called love, where genders do not matter.

Love does.

I love...

...the feeling of holding a guy's hand - rough/calloused yet soft.
...the sound of a man's voice - gruff yet affectionate.
...men's cologne and scruffy face - silk wrapped in steel.
...men's muscles and lack of them, short and tall, fat and skinny, cute and geeky, messy and neatly combed hair.
...a poet, bad boy, writer, lawyer, receptionist, retail employee, computer wizard, musician, artist, a dreamer.
...the way a man hugs and holds you, embracing, love hearts.

I love...

...the touch of a woman's hands - soft and gentle, nails painted or messy chipped and nibbled.
...her hair perfectly coiffed and sweetly messy. make-up and no make-up, free to be herself.
...the sound of a woman's joy, her happiness and celebration, radiant and lovely, inner and outer light - angelic warrior
...the scent of her perfume, the way she makes everyone smile, the way she cares, the style of her hugs and kisses
...her smiles, her compassion, beautiful face radiant of joie of vivre, her kindness among sweet love.

Men and women make my heart happy. Both genders are beautiful dearhearts in their own special and unique ways.
