So here's my amusing story for teaching today...
On my cooperating teacher's test, she included a matching section that had short sentences students had to fill in wiht a vocabulary term. In the word bank she provided for them, she threw in some funny and obviously incorrect answers, to see if it would throw some of the students off/to make it easier for them to eliminate some wrong answers. As I expected, some students still used the nonsense words, creating some rather humorous sentences. The best for today:
"Students using their own comprehension and questioning skills for learning are following the teachings of (what should be the Socratic Method) __the devil__.

Well no shit!

Gotta love 7th graders. Every day I leave that school completely speechless. Amazing.
