Weekend Update
Friday: Dan went to RoC late, so we got to go out to dinner for sushi first. I puttered around the house and played the new Champions Online game - well, attempted to, anyway. I made my character Captain Awesome, but the controls are unlike WoW, and I couldn't find a help/FAQ screen to let me know how to move, attack, etc., so I gave up about 10 minutes into it. I'll have to play it with Dan so that he can figure it out as well.
Saturday:
Whitney's back from Costa Rica!
I puttered around the house all day - made tea & finish the book from Dan: Hunted. WoW - first battleground with my orc warlock, and I even got a few kills under my belt! I sold a bunch of stuff at the auction house, and made 15 gold - squee! I also went fishing for the first time, too. Think I'm getting the hang of this game. I blew a fuse at the house that scared the hell out of me - nothing like everything going black while I"m home alone to get the blood moving again! I really don't sleep well without Dan there anymore, it used to be the opposite!
Sunday
Heather and Bella came over to pick me up for some packing at their house, and Bella had to rock out a bit first:
Packed a shitload of their stuff while The Diva slept, all the time shushing each other with each tape pull and box moved - don't wake her up! We all live in fear of an 18 month old.
Dan picked me up from Herher's, and we went straight to the movies. Watchmen was awesome, I think there was at least a dozen blue penis sightings - if it was a drinking game (and I think it will be, as soon as the DVD is out!), everyone would be smashed. I think I like the movie ending better than the book, but I'm not a die hard fan of the comic, so I wasn't uber invested in a perfect copy. They did do a whole lot exactly like the book, though. The soundtrack rocked - Leonard Cohen singing Hallelujah during the sex scene was amazing.
Dan & I walked to the store for a snack & talked about the movie when we got home - I love those moments with him, doing something inconsequential, and being totally blissed out while doing so.
