Is it really Monday?
good times at my house today. Irene only woke up once last night, and she slept until 9 this morning! So I actually got a REALLY GOOD night's sleep. plus, I had so much milk I decided to pump some before feeding her, for practice, and I got almost 5 ounces of milk, by far trumping the 2 1/2 I pumped a few night ago.
jeff found out he has the week off because the kids are on spring break, so this morning, between rain showers, he and I planted carrot, basil, three kinds of lettuce, and thyme seeds in place of where the cabbages used to be in our first bed. jeff also called up and left a message for this guy who is offering up shares in a community garden on south ave for $20 a year; we're hoping to get into it so we can plant even more things (oooh strawberry beds!)
then we went out and ran some errands, including finding a johnny jump-up-type bouncer for Irene. We tested it out at lots 4 tots and it cracked me up to see Irene bouncing herself in circles. she had this look of utter shock on her face, that she could be standing upright in this--thing--by herself, and bouncing at that!
Now I'm kicking back at home eating lunch while Irene naps. I think the rest of the day will be pretty chill, but I have the NCAA basketball final to look forward to at 6 o'clock tonight--Duke versus Butler, a somewhat unexpected match. I'm stoked that I've gotten to follow the tournament online this year, some of the final games have been fun to watch.
