Kame thought the dressing room was empty when he went back. He didn’t expect to see Junno still there, and what he really didn’t expect was to see him crying quietly on the sofa. Kame didn’t know what was more surprising, the fact that normally happy-go-lucky Junno was practically sobbing, or that he found himself wanting badly to go comfort him. Kame stood there frowning, but Junno’s back was faced to him. Kame peered around the room for something, and he spotted it; a box of tissues sitting there amongst some pens and other things. Kame slowly walked in the room, grabbing the box of tissues and heading over to where Junno was sitting. He averted his eyes from the crying man as he stood right in front of him, holding out the box of tissues.
“Here,” he said quietly. Junno made a surprised face, but didn’t say anything as he took a tissue from the box in the younger one’s hands. Kame sat down beside Junno, just to be there beside him. It wasn’t the first time he saw Junno crying, but it was still really weird to him since the other times were at concerts, and since he always seemed to be smiling. There was a sudden shaky breath, and then he went silent, dabbing his eyes with another tissue
“Thanks Kame…” He heard quietly from beside him. Kame smiled slightly, and then tugged on Junno’s shirt sleeve. Junno turned to face the younger, tears still visible on his face with a questioning look.
“Stop being such a crybaby already!” Kame smiled, hoping to cheer him up just a little. Junno laughed slightly, swatting Kame on the arm.
“I’m not a crybaby!”
“Okay okay, then just smile like you usually do.” Kame reached up and wiped a stray tear from his face. Junno obliged and smiled, suddenly enveloping the younger one in a tight hug, surprising him.
“I’ll smile, just for you.”
Title: On the Rooftop
Pairing: Kame/Ueda
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Fluff, romance
Summary: Kame had something planned, but Ueda had no idea what it was.
“Kame where are we going?” Ueda yelled, laughing as Kame tugged him along.
“It’s a surprise!” Kame exclaimed, turning around to make sure the blindfold was still firmly in place on the older one’s face. Ueda stumbled along with Kame up the stairs of some sort of building, but Ueda had no idea where they were. After climbing a few flights with Kame carefully leading Ueda up, they finally arrived at their destination.
“Here we are!” Kame exclaimed, while taking the blindfold off of Ueda’s face. Ueda gasped in surprise to see they were on the roof of a building. There were sparkling lights and paper lanterns everywhere, lighting up the night.
“Kame… Did you do this?” Ueda asked in awe. Kame didn’t answer, but took out a remote and pressed a button. Ueda was surprised to suddenly a slow song, and then see Kame bow down in front of him.
“Excuse me sir but may I have this dance?” Kame asked, a goofy smile on his face.
“My, what a gentleman! You may,” Ueda joked, putting his hand in Kame’s outstretched one. Kame then twirled Ueda, pulling him close to his body. They swayed back and forth, Kame with his head on Ueda’s shoulder. Kame sighed contentedly.
“I’m glad I did this,” he laughed, looking at Ueda’s eyes.
“I am too,” Ueda smiled back, hugging Kame gratefully. “This was a nice break from all the stress of every day.”
After a couple hours of lounging around, acting silly, and just enjoying each other’s presence, Kame shut of the lights and they made their way back to the ground. They were walking through a dark hallway, a comfortable silence around them.
“You know Ueda,” Kame said suddenly, breaking the silence. Ueda looked over at Kame lazily and gave him a questioning look. Kame stopped walking, causing Ueda to stop in his tracks.
“What’s wrong Kame?” Kame didn’t answer, instead seeing the perfect chance to strike. Kame slowly approached Ueda, the latter confused at the heated expression in the younger man’s eyes. He didn’t himself subconsciously backing up until his back hit the wall. Kame was still getting closer, and Ueda was almost sure he could hear his heartbeat. Kame closed in, finally capturing Ueda’s lips in a heated kiss. Ueda was so surprised he didn’t know how to react, but the kiss was over just as soon as it started. Ueda almost didn’t hear the next thing Kame said.
“Are you having as much fun as I am right now?”
