so today i did my first real day of volunteering for obama. it was fun. and it was not fun at times.
so i went door to door trying to get people to register to vote. and most times people open the door with a horrible face, like what the hell do you want.
i only got ONE person to register to vote. and i can't even tell you the number of people that told me they didn't want to vote. never have and never will. it was really disturbing. and they couldn't be convinced!
most people were pretty unpleasant.
and there was only one guy that was a dick.
and i was like hi just wanted to see if you registered to vote.
and he said yes i have and i won't be voting for him (pointing at my sticker on my chest)
i mean i wasn't going around asking to talk politics. it was just to register. and it was creepy that he didn't look at me and only stared at my sticker.. which was on my chest.
anyway. it was rough. i mean going door to door and seeing people that just didn't care. it was like well shit why the hell should i care then. it was kinda contagious.
so anyway i will never be rude to someone that comes to my door again...
the guy that was walking around with me said. you know.. don't feel bad what you are doing takes alot of courage and the people that are rude ..they don't have the courage to do it. so i will just roll with that...
