Star Spangled Spectacular
Sometimes I am pissed off by the arrogance of our nation and the things people do on our behalf, but this one thing actually made me laugh. I was sitting at the chow hall today and watching the news on one of the TVs and I saw this spot on the plans for the new replacement they're building. Apparently they're not just just building two more towers to replace them, they're building four. And the tallest of them will be called the Freedom Tower, standing as the tallest in the world at 1,776 feet. It will be a twisted glass and steel building made to invoke the image of Lady Liberty. I just got a kick out of that. Terrorists knock down two of the tallest buildings in the world, so we come right back and build an even bigger one! And I also like the fact the it will be as tall as the year this country was founded. Nice touch. Yay! Here's to making our phallic symbols a little prouder.
