004- [phone/action] An interesting turn of events...

//Filtered to Olivier and Prussia
[Fritz does not trust the phones. He's been shown how to filter calls, and he is. But he still believes, now more than ever, that Grady and the Mayor can easily listen in. So he's kepping this short and sweet. No hints, no clues.]

There's something I need to discuss with you, in person, at your earliest convenience.

[He's there almost instantly - Prussia probably spends his days creepily staking out Fritz's house, man. He doesn't bother knocking, instead going with his tried and true method of kicking open the door.]

Yo, Fritz! You okay? What do you need?

[Fritz is pulled from his thoughts by the sound of his door being kicked in. He really should have expected this.]

That was rather quick...

[He can't help but be a little amused.]

Don't worry, I'm fine. I just didn't want to discuss my recent conversation with the fugitive Russian over the phones. In person seems safer.

You --

[He cuts himself off, goes to lock the door firmly behind him and close all the shades before heading over to Fritz, looking him over carefully.]

You met with the guy? Bastard didn't try to do anything to you, did he? That fucking town of his - if he's trying to pull that shit off again, I'll kick his ass!

[Hmmm, he wasn't here for Soviet!Mayfield and is wondering just how bad it was....]

He wasn't in any condition to harm anyone. Honestly, I don't expect he'd survive long even discounting Grady.

And his town was destroyed...

[Prussia's face darkens with satisfaction. He didn't have the best experience in Soviet Mayfield.]

Good. Saves me the trouble of having to find and burn down the place myself.

Still, if Grady wants him dead, that's a good enough reason for me to keep him alive. What'd he tell you?

Only that this whole... mess was the result of a prolonged war between Russia and America. Apparently neither country knows how to conduct proper warfare and were dead set on destroying each other at any cost.

[I mean, really. What would the point of conquering land be if you just ruined it all? Even a child can see that it's better to have something useable after the fighting.]

He heavily implied that there were other towns, both Russian and American, that operated like this one. But he didn't know whether they still existed.

Ugh, those two idiots have been nothing but trouble here. They keep talking shit about commoners and capitals and making unions, it's like listening to the insane. I have no idea how they managed to last this long.

Only Russians and Americans? Well, no wonder this world is so fucked up then. There's no one intelligent or awesome enough to run it.

I didn't actually get a chance to ask about the other countries. There simply wasn't time.

And I was a bit more interested in his assertation the Grady destroyed the Russian town single handed. I hadn't thought his power was that strong.

Huh. Guess Russia must be weaker than I thought, at least in this world. Or maybe he got the Milkman to help out. Fucking witchcraft, I hate it. Doesn't matter - no matter how strong he is, I'll bring him down anyway!

Still, that Russian town could have come in handy. If there are others, maybe we could somehow get into contact with them - turn them and the people in charge here against each other and distract them while we take it down from the inside.

Not a bad idea. The Russian mentioned something about trying to distract Grady by confronting him with memories from his past. Although he said it only served to further anger the man.

That fat bastard's past? I guess it might be worth looking into if it'll work as a distraction. Anything else the guy told you?

[He sighs. He really didn't want to bring up this tidbit of disturbing information, but it can't be helped.]

He also told me that the drones were.... concious. That the people who are droned tend to fade away slowly, struggling all the while.

Conscious -- you mean -- then Netherlands is awake under there --

[He lets out a rattle of swears in German.]

God damn it. I knew all that shit people kept spouting about going home was too good to be true.

It's not going to fucking happen. I won't let it.

This may mean that those who have been droned are still reachable in some way...

The bit about the girl bothers me as well. If we are simply trapped in the aftermath of a devastating war, then why should she be in charge?
