Thank you to all who commented on my previous post. Know that I would never "expect" to achieve a peerage... in fact, my brain kind of stops at the vigil ceremony

Interestingly enough, I found my bliss by focus and opening up to new experience. By teaching I finally became teachable - it was a wondrous transformation. If there is something you love, set out on a journey to discover all you can about it. You certainly have been in the SCA long enough to have the basics more than adequately covered :)
I think at some point in my journey of discovery that I achieved a sense of deep peace about who I was in the world, and in the SCA. I also found inspiration in a song by Jackson Browne called "About My Imagination" which sort of became a theme song for me. The whole song spoke to me in multiple ways, but SCA specifically I liked these verses:
"About my imagination I’m getting ready for the celebration I’m bringing my imagination Taking charge of my elevation No fear, no trepidation Register my affirmation No doubt, no hesitation People get ready for the embarkation
About my imagination Calling out across the nation It’s time for some kind of rededication Not talking ‘bout just my generation
I’m sending out this invocation Oh I keep getting these excitations More light, more love More truth and more innovation"
Me, I think it is okay to dream, because those mental images will help us to manifest ourselves the way we want to be seen. Part of my dreaming is to manifest kindness, gentleness and wisdom. Sometimes I flail and fail, but the standing dream of my ideal self is somewhere to retreat, evaluate, reaffirm and reset my attitude. It has helped me.
