For those of you who want to buy the Chronicles of Narnia Soundtrack, it doesn't come out until next Tuesday. But beware. Apparently it's not being sold in very many stores, not even Best Buy. If you do find it in a store make sure you double check that it is actually the musical score, because there is a fake out there. What I mean by fake, is that the cd says Chronicles of Narnia Soundtrack and has a picture from the movie, but it's actually music "inspired" by the movie, but none of the music on the cd is in the movie. It's Christian and country bands who are trying to make money off of the name. I was quite pissed when I discovered this. You can only buy the soundtrack online for some reason. I went to amazon and got the King Kong soundtrack as well so I could get free shipping. They wanted me to pay $8 so I might as well have just added on. The soundtrack also has the lowest cost at amazon. It's $13.99 compared to the $17.99 on bestbuy.com. I couldn't find it anywhere else. The only thing that sucks is if you do free shipping it takes forever to get to you. I had my heart set on listening to it today. What a scam. I was totally glad I scanned over it before I checked out.
In other news, for those of you who didn't trot along to see it last night, the movie is awesome. Almost as good as Lord of the Rings, but we all know I have a biased opinion. I think the overall scope of LOTR is much bigger, but both of the stories are remarkable. Of course the effects and CG were awesome because the genius that is Richard Taylor and Weta Workshop did them. I can't wait to see what they did with King Kong. Aslan was wonderful. Liam Neeson's voice was perfect for the character. Somehow the faun being topless creeped me out though. And the white witch was terrifying.
One more week until King Kong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna need to buy some tissues.
