School, Movies, and frozen blended coffee topped with whipped cream...

Well I've finished my first 2 days of school. It probably would have made more sense to post after the first day, but I was so tired I went straight to bed. So here I am staying up late on a night where I can sleep in the next morning. lol. Well, I don't think my Senior year is going to be a piece of cake like most people will inform you it is. I chose to put myself in harder courses that I actually have to try in, and with the lovely 7 period schedule I get an hour off for early dismissal rather than half a day.

I like all of the people in my classes, except my fourth period peer helpers class. I'm in there to help a bunch of L.D. regular english sophomores. And honestly, they don't deserve my help. I mean these are the ones that don't take care of themselves, don't try at all to do anything responsible, such as school, who will probably wind up flipping burgers, and enjoy mocking the fact that I'm nice enough and I use my brain enough to waste my time on their drug abused brains. I know it's wrong of me to say that and I should look beyond their faults and just accept that they are less fortunate than I and lack in areas of certain skills such as studying and being able to percieve the fact that what they do now effects something called their future. And I'm sure they have something I don't, but it's frustrating. And as much as I think I'm wasting my time, I almost feel bad for them. I mean, Mrs. Benson talks to them like first graders. For heaven's sake they colored paper t-shirts today and needed help figuring out what to put on it. And all they had to do was draw things on it they enjoy or that describes them. And she was like "Well what food do you like? Oh! Steak? Well write that down now. S-T-E-A-K. Steak." No wonder they're as low as they are. They have no expectations for themselves and the teachers act like they don't either. It's sad. But I love anatomy. Mr. Forbes is SO easy.

But on a different note. I went and saw The Skeleton Key tonight. I loved it. It was not what I expected from the previews. So much better. And I thought it was really original. And it keeps you on your toes the whole time because the story doesn't come together until the end. And the movie isn't ruined with sex scenes or nudity or some sub love plot. Excellent. And of course I topped the night off with a delicious mocha frapp. Great night.
