I’m tired of being taken for granted. You just figured I’d be there last night, because I always am. But, you didn’t expect your Dad to be there!. If he can be in Southern Oregon TODAY, he could have been here last night. It takes planning…. that’s what parents do. They spend their lives planning so they can be effective parents. Brooke is already doing it. Everything is centered on Sutton; his naps, his eating, pooping, everything. That’s the way parenting is. Paul COULD have been here but it was easier for him not to be. He didn’t have to plan. And you two kids let him off the hook again with some excuse. Adam said Paul couldn’t be here because he had more digging to do. Shoot, there’s always digging to do. I still have digging to do! He’s been at the coast for 3 weeks. I hope you can understand this example of what I’m tired of and why I feel taken advantage of and why I don’t want anymore of this. Parenting is a thankless job but it is compounded now by two grown kids who appear to be very selfish. Adam can’t even find the courage to ask his Dad for the money to apply for OIT. Adam would rather pay for it himself than ask his Dad. I want to be intimidating like that!!!!
I’m wondering why I should be part of things when I get nothing but negative reactions for what I am doing. What’s the purpose? I’m human with feelings. I may be 50 but the feelings are there until the day you die.
If you’d have asked Adam he would have told you I was home sick Thursday. Today is the 2nd day of being sick. I was throwing up last night. It’s a good thing I didn’t tell you I’d be at your program; you might have thought I was lying about being sick. I find that really sad that I have to be concerned that my daughter might even think I’m lying.
I don’t think it’s fair to be treated differently than your other parent. However, maybe you take your Dad for granted too?
