There are many scents that remind me of my angels, my Amanda and my Zep.
Not just the obvious ones of perfume and after-shave - gifts I myself have bought them, delectable fragrances that were Christmas or birthday presents from me to them. I enjoy giving them exotic and sensual perfumes to wear, because it puts us all in the mood for lovemaking. But often I will find myself smelling something or recalling a scent that brings my darlings to mind immediately. Not just erotic and enticing scents, but the odors of simple, ordinary things, too.
The lemon aroma of detergent makes me think of Zep doing the dishes, and the smell of flour and butter brings Amanda when she’s cooking to mind. And the odor of metallic things reminds me of my lovers’ role as apprentices in my work, as dedicated and passionate in this as they are in bed with me.
Smell is a powerful sense, and I am thankful the cancer hasn’t yet taken it from me.
