I always wanted to have a kid, maybe two. No more than that, definitely. I did always want a kid, though. I sort of still do.
I mean, I'm on the pill. I take it religiously. Now I sometimes worry when I get sick, worry that I've fallen into that 1% of ineffectiveness. If by chance I run out pills and haven't gotten the prescription renewed? It's either no sex or condoms.
I think there was a time when he wanted kids too, before he ever proposed to me, before he took up to Maine, far enough from Gotham that I felt I could breathe. I think he wanted kids.
I don't think I'd make a good mom.
