You know, right now it's one of those times where you swear you're done with something, and all of a sudden it comes back to bite you in the ass. Whether it's meeting that kid you always used to beat up in school, and finding out he's now 6'2", being charged for the murder you committed 20 years ago, or being charged by the guy who was 12 but you swore he was 20. In this case - it's prom, and I'm going again - back to the hell that was highschool. The only year of highschool that was great was Freshman year.
Last night they made me go bowling. Let me clarify: "They" = my friend LD and his girlfriend and the girl with which the prom thingy was arranged last minute. It was the classic "The girl doesn't have anyone to go with, so..." yeah. So, it's been a pretty good month as far as publishing goes. I've had 5 articles published in the local paper, 2 in the college's lit. mag. and 2 in professional compilations. Hmmm....next monday is Yom Ha'Atzmut (Israeli independance day). So I face a moral dilemma. I am a Jew, yes. But I do not at all, in any way, support the policies of the government of Israel. You want terrorism? Bulldozing refugee camps, denying a people the right to vote, and making it a requirement to be Jewish in order to do certain things that people in a country have to do. I have no love for Israel right now. Realize that if I ever use the word "Israel" in my posts, unless I specifically denote otherwise, I am using the word to refer to the entire body of the Jewish nation all around the world - that is, Jewish people. Bah.
