Hey Gang -
I got the call today that I had won Indie 103.1’s “Coup d'état” contest after submitting a playlist of what it would look like if I took over the station for an hour a few month’s back. So, from 7:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday on 103.1 FM, I will actually be performing all the tasks that come with being an actual radio DJ, which means spinning my favorite songs, intros, color commentary, and so forth.
From a Napster standpoint, I’m not sure if I’ll get the chance to say where I work, but the marketer in me will try and slip it into the conversation. If I don’t, just know the CD of songs I have to bring with me to play will be Napster MP3s (where available, we didn’t have three of these songs on my list in the catalog). Speaking of the songs, here’s the winning playlist:
The National Anthem Radiohead
Battle Flag Lo Fidelity Allstars
Weirdo The Charlatans UK
Saturn 5 Inspiral Carpets
Police On My Back The Clash
Digital Joy Division
Great DJ The Ting Tings
You Me and the Bourgeoisie The Submarines
Peace Frog The Doors
Bad 'N' Ruin Faces
Hey Bulldog The Beatles
Denial, Revisited The Offspring
Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth Dandy Warhols
I Wanna Be Your Dog Iggy & The Stooges
I Predict A Riot Kaiser Chiefs
Get Your Hands Off My Woman The Darkness
Counting Out Time Genesis
