It's so amazing to see which specific subjects interest a person. I mean, English students have their favorite traditions and schools, as do painters... Science students have processes and species and reactions that really tickle their fancy... Theologians have sacred texts and treatises... Anthropologists, their cultures... And, of course, History students have their time periods and figures. I can't stop marveling at how no two scholars, even in the same field, are just alike!
If I could have one wish, it would be to live long enough to understand every fascination on the planet. Oh, in the universe~! One year, I'd learn about the Martian ice caps' sweating patterns, the next, market fluctuations of the Cambodian economy! That's not to say I'd want to know everything, but, oh, I'd like to stand a fighting chance!
I suppose I never will, though. I've got to pick my fixations carefully and explore them to my full, mortal capabilities.
I wish it were New Year's! I have the perfect resolution!
Well, after reading over my post, I realize I'm mostly talking to myself. Now, where's the interactivity in that? Where's the dialog? Nowhere, that's where! So, if you'd like to tell me about your fascinations, I'll be glad to discuss them!
