There was mention of a karate club or something a couple weeks back in blogs, I think. If anything, I'm sure you could check the local gym or the athletics department and see if they're offering any self-defense classes?

The local gym offers basic boxing and judo, I think. As for the athletics department, probably everything that the school competes in and some seminars on how to watch out for dangers for sure. I don't frequent the area enough to know for sure. I'm sorry.
