Here's a quick request from the hospital staff. Please do not come us with minor wounds you should be able take care of yourself. This mostly includes small cuts and scrapes you get while running away. A quick list for if you don't know what to do:
1. Stop the bleeding. Small cuts and scrapes generally do so on their own, but if they don't, apply light pressure with some clean cloth/bandage for about 20-30 minutes. Don't check if the bleeding has stopped before the time passes, or you risk damaging the blood clot and restart the bleeding.
2. Clean the wound. Clear water for the wound itself, but you can use water with soap for the area around it if you want to. You can come to the infirmary if debris keeps stuck in the wound after cleaning.
3. Apply antibiotic. There is antibiotic cream in every first aid kit. Apply a little to the clean wound to prevent infection.
4. Cover the wound. Again, bandages are in every first aid kit and will keep the wound clean and prevent infection. Change the dressing daily. If your injury isn't too bad, or the wound has started healing enough, exposing it to air will help it heal faster, so you don't have to keep running around with bandages forever. Just so you know.
There are first aid kits and staff with at least some skill in first aid in every secure building, so please don't strain hospital resources if you can avoid it. Right now, we have several more serious injuries that require our attention, but we'll be happy to give your injuries a check up when things calm down.
As for a more personal message: the next kid to come in and complain about "not feeling too well" because of stress and/or insecurity gets thrown out by me personally. You're not the only one who's having a hard time with this situation, and other people are dealing with it. So do the same, for fuck's sake. Believe it or not, you guys are adults now.
ADDITION: Dr. Valmont is currently taking a break. Her tasks will be temporarily taken over by me. She will not be bothered over every little thing. That is all.
